I see a few people have asked this, but no one has answered. It will be very helpful to me in deciding if this is the right pool for me to purchase. Thanks so much!

  • A. I think the manual says you can run it as much as needed but NEVER when someone is in it. i've read several reviews of people who run it at night for several hours. i think it all depends on how much you plan to use it and the chemical balance of the pool.

  • A. Probably not a bad idea. Depends on usage and quite a few other factors. If the pool is always dirty, cloudy or you are fighting your chemicals you aren't running it enough.

  • A. It's quite time consuming to drain, and will kill your water bill if you're filling up every weekend. It's not a small job to set up or take down pools of this size.

  • A. It takes a while to blow it up depending on what method you use and it takes a while to fill it up. It takes approx. 4 hours to fill and then it is freezing cold from the hose water.

  • A. You could take it apart easily but storage presents a problem as the air tube around top is easily punctured if your not careful about where you store it. You can be assured you won't be able to squeeze it back into the original box. Filling it every week is going to use alot of water.

  • A. This pool holds 1, 350 gallons of water...this is not the pool you want to tear down and refill every weekend (it will take a very, very long time to fill). If you want a pool just for the weekends, there are a lot of kiddie pools available that you can splash around in and will fill in a few hours.

Great little pool

I purchased this pool last summer because I wanted my daughter to learn to swim and our local pool where they gave swimming lessons was closed for the summer due to repairs. She loved it and so did I! She learned to swim in just a few days and was a little pro by the end of summer. We actually had a nice warm summer last year so it was nice for my husband and I to get in with her and cool off too. The only bad thing about this pool is you have to keep reminding the kids not to hang on or over the sides because it can collapse (it takes a bit of weight but I wasn't taking any chances) like any pool never leave your kids unattended! Overall the pool is very sturdy and rugged. Can't wait to see if it held up without any mishaps being packed up for the winter. Even if it didn't I would buy another one for the price you really can't go wrong. I think I paid $70 shipping and all.

I bought this pool last year and the kids got to use it for about a month before summer ended. I emptied it and folded it to put it away for the winter. I have just recently pulled it out to use this year. I set it up and filled it with water as I had before last summer. In no less than four hours the tube on the top that keeps the pool a float began to empty. As the tube emptied so did the water in the pool. I checked the pool for holes and only found one small hole on the side. After patching it up I filled it again and filled it back up with water. This time it took no more than an hour and the water was emptying out of the pool again. I called the company and they said there is nothing they can do about my issue. Needless to say this has not made me happy. As well as the pool being faulty, it came with a small pump. The pump filters cost more because they are so small and I do not think the pump is big enough to clean a pool that size. I ended up buying a taller one at Walmart to clean the pool. In my opinion this pool could have been designed better and the pump could have been bigger.

This pool is great!!! I ve had one every summer for years, Im replacing the one ive had for 3 yrs this year cause it is faded and has some wear and tear in it but surprisingly still usable. really heavy duty and so easy to set up. you can swim in it or just lounge around, doesnt need a ladder to get in unless your a small child. fills up in less the 4 hours. Best of all this size pool follows height regulations in most citys so no need for a fence around it. You cant beat the price either. All in all this is just a really great pool and i would recommend it to everyone!!!

I just bought this pool May 24, 2012. Set up was easy and the pool was great for about a week. Then the pump/filter stopped working. Contacting the company was a nightmare. I called several times andwas NEVER on the phone waiting for a representative for less than 45 minutes. Then, I finally reach someone and am told that there is a 6 day processing time for this and was given instructions for scanning and emailing my receipt to start the replacement process. I scanned and emailed my receipt and then called back a week later to check on processing time. This time, after waiting 53 minutes to reach a representative I am told that validation time after receiving my receipt is 10-14 business days, then another 4 days to box up and ship the pump, and then 5-7 days shipping time from FedEx. So now, my 4 and 7 year old are sitting here looking at a pool that we used less than a week that they will not be able to swim in for at least the next month!!!! Terrible customer service!!!!

We purchased this pool on 7/7/12 in a Tallahassee, FL location but were unable to purchase a pool cleaning kit as they were out of stock. We set up the pool, filled it with water and swam the next day. The following day, we noticed water standing around the bottom of the pool on the protective tarp, but could not find any obvious leak. Two days later, 3/4 of the water in the pool was gone. We have searched and cannot find any leak on the outside of the pool and have determined that the leak must be on the bottom seal of the pool. Attempts to call Intex's customer service led to 45 minutes of frustrated wait time without ever speaking to customer service. Their website has a form to fill out, but did not give me the option of submitting my claim. I am currently out approximately $200 in pool and supplies and unable to swim! There is only a 30 day warranty and website won't allow me to submit a claim for replacement. I will NEVER purchase an Intex product again.

First off I have bought a pool like this before so I already knew what to expect. I visit my local hardware store and pick up a couple of tarps to lay down under the pool first. I feel like it helps protect the bottom from anything sharp. It is so easy to set up that I can do it on my own without a man's help. LOL I got one of those small electrical air pumpers to use on the ring and it also pumps up the rafts too so with that it really takes no time at all other than letting the water fill it up. Now me personally from past experiences I only use liquid chlorine and not chlorine tablets for the pool. I found with tablets it would make the water cloudy and I admit sometimes you can't buy the liquid at Walmart so I had to order it at a local hardware store. There are outside cats and a large dog but they stay away from it. It's worth the money and time if you want something easy to cool off in for the summer and I can't wait til the water warms up a bit more!

My husband bought this pool last summer (2011) to have a place to start teaching our young children to swim. We wanted something shallow enough that they could walk, but deep enough that they could swim around. He spent several hours leveling the backyard (at the time, we lived on a partial hill, so this was difficult). The pool did not have any defects and provided a good place to cool down in the summer for a fraction of the cost of the local pool (hey, budgets are tight). The top ring did end up getting a couple of pin holes in it and we couldn't figure out how, but we patched them with duct tape and that fixed it just fine. This is not a luxury, in-ground, spa pool; it is an inexpensive place to cool off. I have no idea if this would have lasted more than one year because we moved and decided to get rid of this pool and upgrade for this summer to a metal-pole supported pool that is a little deeper. With the kids able to get comfortable in a small body of water, both of our children (ages 3 and 6 at the time) learned how to swim and were able to keep up with their friends when we were guests at the "big pool". My husband was a stay-at-home dad for last summer and they were in it every day that the weather allowed.

We have actually had two of these pools and felt that they were well worth the money. Unfortunately, we didn't have pool #2 very long before one of our dogs decided to chomp down on the top ring and the pool was history. Just a word of warning if you have large dogs. This really is a durable pool though and we'll probably buy another this year.

I bought one last summer for my 3yr old daughter and 4 year old niece. It was great! Surprisingly sturdy. The kids just have to be careful with hanging on the side of the pool. I'm buying another one this year. I could have saved the old one, but I would rather start fresh each summer. You can't beat the price for countless hot weekends in Florida instead of going to the parks waiting in long lines of misery. They are now 4 and 5 and I'm getting this bigger size. I think the last one was 8 feet. I was very happy with it. It lasted the whole summer without a hitch. The walls don't inflate! Only the ridge on the top does.
