WoW! There were TONS of pieces

Upon opening the box to put together this desk and seeing all those pieces made my heart drop. OH NO!! But my kids needed their desks so we started putting them together. It really didn't take long, the first one took almost an hour but the remaining two only took about 30 mins. The desks are sturdy and I like the side shelves, I also like that the desktop itself can be tilted up in the back. The chair was comfortable and serves its purpose. The lamp however I was disappointed in, it keeps falling off..it doesn't secure tightly and if you have kids anything like mine it becomes a toy...and it will not last through that we have already had to put our daughters lamp back on 5 times and its only been together for a week. Overall I will have to say I am pleasently surprised on the quality of it.

It was exacttly what I wanted. A streamlined desk, easy to assemble, looks good, functional. The chair and lamp are an added value, but I am large, so I don't trust the chair. It would be fine for any average person though.

As an adult, I would not use this desk, nor would I describe it as "awesome". It is very thin, not sturdy at all. The parts are not labeled!!!! I'm not an idiot but I had to do some thinking to get them where they were supposed to be. Plus, you have to bend some of the metal, as stated in the hard to understand instructions. It doesnt hardly take any time to put it together once you get the tubes in the right place, and its light effort. The shelves are soooo flimsy, and why they have holes in the front is really beyond me. However, my 8 year old daughter absolutely loves this desk so must give some credit there.

    A Simple Desk for Homework

I'm a college female student that basically needed a desk in my room so I can do my homework. I put the desk together by myself which took me 2 days to do because I waited real late to start building it lol...You basically have to look at the pictures instead of the instructions to get a better idea of how everything is suppose to look. After constructing it, the table didn't seem super stable but seem decent enough to hold my weight. (I weigh 160 lbs and I'm 5'10). I didn't really understand how i was suppose to nail the cushion to the chair so right now i just placed the cushion right on top of the chair and left if it just like that.lol My room isn't so big however the desk and chair fits nicely in my room. Overall its a decent chair and desk for the price.

    Best Desk Ever

My mom bought me this desk when we moved into our new house in 1995. I still have it. It's the best!!!!!!! I've moved 3 times and it holds up beautifully. The chair leaves a bit to be desired, I'll be honest, the wheels fall off over time, but after fourteen years, what do you expect? Recommended to anyone! I'm buying another one for my craft room.

    • A. Loosen the chair bolts all over and then squeeze the chair in while someone slips the back on. Then tighten all the chair screws.

    • A. On the chair I assembled, the back strip was definately snug, but it did go on. You need one person to push in the two chair bars & someone to put on the back. Overall, I think it is good to be snug, it helps the chair stay "squared up".

    • A. yes, it does have a lip/ trough on it to hold papers when it is propped at the 45 degree angle. note* the lip is simply held on with screws and it holds up depending on how well you tighten them. it is adjustable

    • A. I don't believe the incline is a full 45 degrees. There is a sliding positionable bracket that provides a small lip at the front of the desktop. It will prevent papers and/or implement from rolling off in the incline position.

    • A. This table can be adjusted to many degree angles because it gives the buyer the option to adjusted as needed. It does have a metal that holds pencils, pens and papers from falling off.

    • A. Yes to 45 degree angle and yes but barely to the lip. There is a knob on either back leg to loosen or tighten the desktop whether flat or raised--simple. There's a thin metal strip, approx. 12" long, that screws onto the front of the desk with about 1/8" lip. The holes are predrilled into the desk but the bar has 1/2" slots so you can adjust bar that much from center per preference. My son likes his desk tilted so I bought a rubber-bottom container (rubbermaid??) to leave on the desk for pencils/markers/paperclips, etc. while he's writing. My daughter likes her desk flat so everything is on her desk.
