  • About This Item

We aim to show you accurate product information. Manufacturers, suppliers and others provide what you see here, and we have not verified it.

We think every child deserves the chance to be awesome and grow into a strong, successful adult. We believe in raising kids who excel at life and always have the courage to take off the training wheels and tackle whatever comes next.  Sippy cup in hand, the Strider 12 Classic allows children to build the confidence and grit they need to tackle the world head on. The Strider 12 Classic is our entry-level model that gives every kid the chance to experience the cool factor of a genuine Strider Bike.

The budget-friendly Strider Classic comes equipped with our no-flat tires, ready to take any punishment that your little renegade can dole out. The lightweight, steel frame was specifically constructed for child-level durability (that’s the highest level of durability BTW). Clocking in with a seat height range of 28-40 cm (11-16 in.), it also has the lowest seat height of any balance bike on the market, comfortably fitting an inseam of 30-43 cm (12-17 in.). Why? Because those little legs need to perfectly fit the bike they’re riding to build up confidence. The Strider Classic is a great choice for those that want to jump in the pool but aren’t quite ready to cannonball. If you’re ready to cannonball and make a splash, we recommend the Strider 12 Sport because it’ll grow with your kiddo even longer.

In our quest to turn kids into amazing riders and awesome human beings, we made our Learn-To-Ride Guide available online when you register your child’s Strider. Become your kiddo’s biggest cheerleader with the best bike out there.

LEARN TO RIDE - The Strider 12 Classic is a great, unembellished choice for those that want to jump in the pool but aren’t quite ready to cannonball. The budget-friendly Strider 12 Classic comes equipped with our no-flat tires, which are ready to take the punishment that only mud puddles and heavy riding can dole out.

GROWS WITH YOUR CHILD - The seat and handlebar heights adjust to accommodate ages 18 months to 3 years, or a 12– 17 in. inseam.

DESIGNED FOR YOUNG KIDS - Weighing in at only 3.0 kg (6.7 lbs.), the 12 Sport makes it easy for your child to ride and stride. The built-in footrests are perfect for learning to balance and glide.

YEARS OF FUN - We know kids put things through rigorous…*ahem*…testing. With the 12 Classic’s durable steel frame and puncture-proof tires, you don't have to worry about damage or maintenance, and the adjustable seatpost and handle bars enable the bike to grow with your child.

IT’S MORE THAN JUST A BIKE - In our quest to turn kids into amazing riders and awesome human beings, we made our Learn-To-Ride Guide available online when you register your child’s Strider. Become your little rebel’s biggest cheerleader with the best bike out there.

Excellent for a rough and tumble BOY!

My son was very interested in his older sister's bike, so we gave him a Strider when he was 18 months old. He began walking the bike immediately. Over time he got faster and by 3 years old he was able to build up enough speed to pick up his feet, glide, and balance. He is 4 years old now and riding a regular bike. Over the time we had it, the tires never wore out despite him using it daily. He dropped it, scraped it along the ground, and the bike was even run over by the car (Oops!) and it held up to all the abuse. Even though he is on a regular pedal bike now, he still likes to pull out his Strider and cruise down the street. We just bought another Strider for my niece. We could have passed our Strider down to her, but my son doesn't want to let go of it yet. :-)

This is an Awesome bike! We have the original that is about 4 years old now. We got it for our daughter who is now 7, (early) 3rd birthday. As she didn't want anything to do with her 10 inch bike with training wheels (she has a processing disorder and the wobbling and false sense of security scared her). Without waiting a minute after assembly, she hopped on and started walking around with it, saying she loooved her new bike! Within 5 months she was riding her 10 in with No training wheels!! And our son who was 18 mo. at the time shared his sisters Strider, which was great because the other pre bikes didn't get that small. He road her pedal bike at 2 years 2 mos.!!!!!! Now both are awesome racers, our son turned Intermediate last week at just 5 :) :) I can't say enough about the quality and value of Strider!!!! Ps Both of our kids STILL ride their Strider and it's still in amazing shape considering what it's been through ;)

One of the best purchases you can make for a kid

Both of my daughters loved their Strider and were on a pedal bike by the time they were three years old. It took longer to find a pedal bike small enough for them than it did for them to learn to pedal. Striders are among the most light weight balance bikes on the market, which is an important factor to you little one. If you're on the fence about getting one, I hope this review convinces you to make the investment! They also have great resale value once your child is on to the next level.

this has been so important for our little boy's development, absolutely no regrets

    Great for little tikes

My boy took to this bike like a bee to honey. Great value as well. Easy to assemble. Lots of fun ahead and I'm hoping a gateway to BMX racing.
