About This Item

We aim to show you accurate product information. Manufacturers, suppliers and others provide what you see here, and we have not verified it.
Rooted in Brooklyn, the In The Raw® sweetener family business began long before the natural food movement. Since introducing our original Sugar in the Raw in 1970, we have branched out into other sweetener sources found in nature giving us Agave in the Raw®, Monk Fruit in the Raw®, and of course Stevia in the Raw®. That leads us to this Baker's Bag of zero-calorie Stevia in the Raw: one cup equals the sweetness of one cup of sugar. It's a simple swap! So you can enjoy indulgent treats while reducing calories. How sweet is that?
It's a Piece of CakeBaking with Stevie in the Raw® Baker's Bag formula is easy because it measures exactly the same as sugar. For best results, replace half the sugar that is called for in cakes, cookies, brownies, blondies and all kinds of baked goods recipes. Why only half? Keeping half the sugar is important for moisture, browning and rising. So give it a try and turn your baked goods into baked greats with fewer calories.
Stevia is naturally sweeter than sugar. So, like many zero-calorie sweeteners, it is blended with maltodextrin. This helps create the perfect balance of sweetness, making it easier to both pour and measure.

LARGE, FLAKEY GRANULES
Hole openings in typical sugar container are too small, because this is more of a flakey granule than sand-like. But this form was the cheapest I saw on the site, and it sweetens adequately, so I'll just put it in a container with a lid and spoon it out.

Stevia is the new Aspartame

I have used aspartame for years, so when I began to read that stevia is more natural than aspartame, it was an easy choice for me. Now that it is available in a larger supply, it's worth trying. I don't bake, but I use it in drink aid mixes instead of sugar, and add it to recipes, and it is fine. If you're not certain if it's for you, spend a little time to research it. It may be worth the 30-45 minutes of your time. Then you can make a decision based on your needs and expectations. I can say that this is a popular brand of stevia, so you can find what you need to know quickly online. I have been using stevia for over a year now, and I will continue to use it. This particular brand has truly made a name for itself! Worth checking out and studying up! Happy shopping!

AWESOME PRODUCT

I am Diabetic and have to watch my sugar intake, but this product is a great sugar substitute and it tastes better then some of those other sugar substitutes. Baking with it cup for cup of sugar and I use Silk Unsweetened Almond Soymilk and you can not tell the difference with less calories too, yummy! I would recommend it to everyone.

Excellent sweetener.

I am very happy with this sweetener. I had no idea it would be that effective. I have been using two packets of my previous sweetener, but only have to use one of these, so price-wise, very great. Taste and value outstanding.

I love this all natural zero calorie sweetener

I make homemade lemonade with stevia for a zero calorie naturally sweetened beverage. I like stevia because it doesn't upset my stomach like artificial sweeteners do. It tastes a little different from sugar (such as when I dip strawberries in it), but I have grown accustomed to the taste, and don't desire sugar any more than stevia now. I am looking forward to the food industry using this sugar substitute in more products for lower calorie alternatives.

2. I find 1/2 cup of Stevia In The Raw is equal to 1 cup of Sugar.
by d2268
3. This product is practically all Maltodextrose. Not a good product.
by Lauraloomacmac
4. I use this to sweeten a jug of tea. I usually use 3/4 cup to get the same level of sweetness that 1 full, heaping cup of sugar would produce. Stevia is pretty strong, so you don't need as much as sugar to get the same taste.
