Will this container hold a 24" long item? is 24.38" inside or outside dimensions?
I am looking for a shallow container to hold items that are solid and 24 " in length.

Sign InA.The dimensions ARE correct. This style comes in many different shapes/sizes. For the one in *this* listing (25quarts/24Liters) the interior in inches is 21.5 by 13, and 5 inches deep. (I just pulled mine out from under the bed and opened it to measure.) It is almost exactly 24 inches diagonally though; so, if your 24-inch item is skinny enough, you might be able to fit it in that way. (By the way, the approximately 10 by 13 inch container that the other poster is referring to is the 12.7quarts/12Liter version of this style-line.)

A.Probably not. It's wider at the top than the bottom and I think the dimensions given are for the outside measurements.

A.Well, it's not a tight fit, because it doesn't have a gasket, so you would not get the same protection as a zip top freezer bag. Perhaps you could put them in a zip top freezer bag first, and then into this box if your looking simply to keep your freezer organized.
