My little ones and BIG ones love this toy! The size is perfect for the littlest hands and encourages them to stand up to put the ball in. My little ones are mesmerized by the zigzag pattern the ball makes as it goes down. The carts are a fun addition to this toy allowing the balls to be transported and to build on imaginative play. Easy set up, hours of fun!
My husband and I were looking for a ball drop style toy and I was so excited to find this one. It comes in mostly large parts that are easy to assemble. With my toddler running around I was able to assemble it on my own in under 30 minutes (and that's after accidentally putting a part on upside down! Which I was able to fix without damaging the toy.) It is larger than I thought which makes it good for multiple children to play with. My daughter was so thrilled with it and played with it for 25 uninterrupted minutes. Since then she plays with it daily for anywhere from 5 to 20 minutes. She's learning cause and effect and developing her motor skills from grabbing the balls and processing how the different drops work as well as the little cars that come with it.
Overall it is a fantastic toy if you've got the space for it-it takes up roughly the same space as her play shopping cart. It's light but sturdy (my two year old uses it as a chair sometimes).
Older children may not be as engaged for long in solo play but this would be great for siblings and toddlers. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
So Much Fun!
We have had lots of fun playing with Ball Buddies Double Drop HQ! From the picture posted online, it looks like a lot of fun and can bring minutes-hours of play. And, it does not disappoint! I decided to start off building the to by myself for my child. There were no holes on the spot you're supposed to screw in the hole, so you'd have to drill in the hole yourself, which was interesting. I did get stuck at one of the instructions for the blue tube because I didn't have the correct screw driver to nail in the small holes. (Note: need a longer thinner screw driver for some part of building!) But, my husband came to the rescue with his tools that I didn't know even existed?! All in all, everything was built and it turned out real sturdy and standing tall! My child was so excited to play and it kept her busy for awhile playing by herself! The trucks transporting the balls from one end to another is especially fun for her. In conclusion, the product is mostly easy to build, the toy is sturdy, provides hours of fun play, and it looks good (won't make the house look ugly haha). Thank you Step2! Fun and entertaining!
This toy keeps my 2 boys entertained and laughing all day! My 3 year old has always loved balls and his little brother is following in his footsteps! It was really easy to put together and my 3 year old even helped. Took 20 minutes! It's the perfect size and not too small or too big! When we have play dates with friends their kids love it too!
The product is really sturdy and the directions were very easy even with 2 kids helping me!

Super Fun Toy
My 3 year old and 18 month old are completely obsessed with the Ball Buddies Double Drop HQ! It was so thoughtfully designed with so many ways to play and explore- it's easy to see why they love it so much! Assembly was straightforward (it's well made and sturdy!), the size is fantastic (doesn't take up much room but big enough to give kids that WOW factor), and best of all- no batteries required! (no crazy sounds or music to drive parents crazy!) More good news- it's easy to get miscellaneous items out of the drop tube as my boys tested trucks, cars, other balls and even a sock! Lol Almost an hour and they are both still playing with it! (Thats a long stretch of time in toddler-time lol) Thank you Step2 for allowing me to test this item as part of the Step2 Toy Tester Program! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Endless possibilities for fun!
My 18 mos old LOVES this toy. As soon as he gets home every day he runs up to it and starts tossing the balls into the blue tube and cracks up watching them wiggle their way down. It's his favorite feature. He also loves the purple track and how the balls fall into the step down ramp. When he's ready to be on the move. He grabs one of the trucks and races it along the floor. With so many different interactive elements in one toy his attention is held for much longer than with his other toys. We are so glad to add this to our collection. Please note, there is assembly required but easy to follow instructions made it a breeze. Would highly recommend this toy. It's bright colorful, and brings out their imagination, was easy to put together with just a screwdriver, I used a drill wit a bit as no predrilled holes, it's lightweight but also sturdy. Kids new favorite toy. Thanks STEP 2 [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Wonderful toy , our one year old loves it and it came just in time for his first birthday :) and his two older brothers enjoy it as well
My one year old love it!
From the moment we put this together my son has been obsessed! He laughs every time he drops a ball and has been happily playing with it for over a week now. The size of the balls are perfect for his little hands and he has even been dropping his other smaller toys into the chute as well. He has also been pushing the dump trucks across the kitchen floor and having an absolute blast! This toy was definitely a HUGE hit! I was excited to open this toy and build it for my son. It was a little weird putting it together since there are no holes for the screws but after I got the hang of how much pressure to put I got it together pretty fast. The first thing my son tried to do was climb it because he couldn't see the top of it. And it's definitely not made for that. It tipped but I was there to put it back down before it fell over. After I showed him how to do it, it kept him occupied for a few minutes and then he got bored with it. I gave it a couple days to write my review to see if he was more interested in it and each day he plays with it a little bit longer each time. I think the age should say 18 months since my son is 12 months and I think he's a little too young for it. But we will keep playing with it and hopefully it will keep him occupied a little bit more like the other reviews.
