This game is suggested at 4+, but my three year old just LOVES playing Loopin' Chewie! Though my three year old has no clue who Chewbacca is, my boyfriend sure does. If you are looking for a nice family game that you can play with your littles this is definitely a game worth looking at. Set up took me maybe 15 minutes, and most of that was putting the storm trooper stickers on the little plastic coins. It comes with a set of instructions, which I thought were kind of terrible, as the pictures did not do justice for the instructions at all! However, when you look at the pieces it doesn't take a genius to figure out that a few clips here and there and voila! You're done! It comes in about 9 pieces (plus the 9 plastic coins) and is very easily assembled. Once you have everything set up, game play is even easier. You simply stand Chewie in an upright position, and turn the black switch to the on position. Each player has their own arm to control, you turn it on and Chewie starts circling. Each player pushes their lever trying to knock Chewie into the other players troopers, as they are trying to use Chewie to knock off your storm trooper pieces. First person to lose all three of their troopers is out of the game, and the other two players continue until a victor emerges! Fun! The arms, as well as Chewie himself, easily detach once you are done to fit back into the box for storage while not in use. I recommend putting the storm trooper pieces in some sort of plastic bag or storage container, because without these pieces there really is no point to the game. However the pieces are roughly Nickel size, and maybe they would even work as replacements?! I don't know. Anyway, if you are looking for a nice family game for everyone, from young to the young at heart, this game is sure to give you lots of fun family time together.

Fun game for kids and adults alike!
The Star Wars Loopin' Chewie game is a great game for ages four and up. It is wonderful for a family, from kids to grandparents. My son is 8 and he put it together himself. There are stickers to put on the coin pieces that are supposed to be the "Stormtroopers". The "Chewie" piece (which is Chewbaca) attaches to the motor that turns around and around, and requires 2 AA batteries (which are not included). It reminds me of the hungry hippo game, but a better theme for Star Wars fans and older kids. Each player gets 3 coin "Stormtroopers" and the object of the game is to keep all three of yours, making the other players lose theirs. If you lose yours, you can still play by hitting your lever, but you lose. Each player gets a lever they hit to send "Chewie" flying in the air on his spacecraft, whether it bounces to another players coins, your own, or anywhere in between is anyone's guess. If you hit it too hard, your coin could get dropped into the player's lower area where it is counted "out". There is yellow, red, and lime green for the player's choosing. They are equally spread out in the area connected around "Chewie". It is a very simple game. No reading involved unless you have to put it together. "Chewie" is neatly designed and looks very similar to the character from the movie. The stickers seem to be of good quality and stick well. I would definitely recommend for any reason! The price isn't too far away from what I believe it should be, so it is pretty close to the quality vs quantity aspect. It is a fun game for my son and I told him I wished I had played it with him every time he's asked! I had a good time playing with him!
Fun game - entertained kids for hours!
This was a fun game for my 4 and 5 year old grandsons! Easily put together in a few minutes and please note: it takes 2 AA batteries which we had on and. The object of the game is to keep Chewy from stealing one of your storm trooper coins by hitting him with your lever as he flies overhead. I'm always looking for games that aren't high tech for the younger kids in the family. I was impressed with the attention to detail on Chewey and Millineum Falcon. Although it's made of plastic, he held up really well because the boys weren't particularly gentle with this game! It kept the boys entertained for well over an hour and then my mother took up the 3rd position and they played for another half hour. It was a happy thing watching them play together. It brought lots of laughter and good memories to our home. My family is gearing up for a Star Wars Christmas, so this game will be played often by our little guys. This game is the perfect age for 4-5 year olds. Even the 3 year twins enjoyed it but were less proficient at it than the boys. After dinner, the boys wanted to play again, so, at least in our house, this game is “kid approved”! For that reason I would highly recommend this toy! Even though I received this product free from the Spark Reviewer program, I would definitely purchase.
GREAT for Both Children and Family Groups
For anyone that is a Star Wars fan the “Star Wars Loopin' Chewie Game would be a winner. The game is for ages 4+, but fits in nicely at a small adult party or family group. Star Wars is always popular and with the new Star Wars movie just appearing on the big screen, very timely. With Crazy Loopin' Chewie character flying his Millenium Falcon vehicle trying to knock of the Stormtroopers and players trying to flip Loopin' Chewie away with their paddle arms from their Stormtroopers. The last player with a standing Stormtrooper wins the game. The action with two or three players gets actually quite wild. Each player trying to protect their own Stormtroopers and deflect Loopin' Chewie away in such a way that Loopin' Chewie will spin and loop to hit one of the opponents Stormtroopers. Things can become quite competitive, entertaining and lots of fun for the children and adults alike. Overall it is a great fun family game. The game can be addictive & can make a group of adults look silly, but having a real blast. If you are looking for a game that is just plain fun, this is the game for you. We adults played and enjoyed the game. We are looking forward to playing the game with our adult children, grand children and great grandchildren. It should prove to be fun and exciting. Included in the box is the Millenium Falcon base unit, 3 paddle units, 1 flight arm on center cone, 9 tokens, label sheet and instructions. The instructions are clear, concise and easy to understand and follow. It is up to the individual to develop the skills to win. I received the Star Wars Loopin' Chewie Game free for evauation and review purposes.
Overall, my whole family loved this game – my 3 boys, my husband and I! My 6-year old loved it because it was fun – and because it was Star Wars. My 4-year old didn't quite follow the rules but laughed the whole time and was having fun. And my 2-year old just liked being a part of the game, even though he wasn't following the rules. After we played a few times, everyone wanted to keep playing all night! I love how easy it was to set up, and how easy it is to play. It's a very simple design and simple game play – but that doesn't take away from how much fun it is. The game can go pretty fast when playing with younger children – but I could see it lasting a long time if older children were playing it and were actually able to strategize a bit. My kids loved being able hit the arm so high with their paddle that it would flip around – they thought it was hilarious! I would highly recommend this game to anyone that is a Star Wars fan – very unique, easy and fun family game. It is well worth it and so much fun for the whole family!
We Love loopin' Chewie -Lots of fun!
Loopin' Chewie is is very fun to play. It keeps my son and I focused and ingaged while playing. It is easy-to-use, easy to assemble; my son is almost 7 years old he was able to assemble it by himself. Loopin' Chewie can be played by three players. It comes with three colorful levers for players to knock away loopin' Chewie from from knocking down your beautiful bright blue tokens. Loopin' Chewie is fast; so you better keep your eyes on your tokens otherwise you will lose all your tokens. My son and my family love it. Grab one before thanksgiving and Christmas break for your children. Your family will love it.
Star Wars The Force Awakens Looping Chewie Game
Game works as expected. Three players compete by using flipping paddles to swat at a revolving millennium falcon/chewie figure. Each time the spaceship is hit it flies up, sometimes completely upside down, and hits the opponents bank of tokens. Each time the ship hits a token, the token drops down. Last one left with tokens is the winner. The coolest part about this is the revolving millennium falcon, which is smaller than expected, and has a weighted pendulum on the opposite side which creates very interesting motions as it's hit by the paddles. You can adjust the difficulty from easy to hard, by turning the paddle tips from horizontal to vertical. The unit snaps together in probably 10 minutes or less. Takes two double A batteries. I'd say this is best for probably a six year old and up. It would be nice if it had one more paddle to allow for four player competition, since most families have at least two kids. The game will work with only two to three players. I suppose you could have one player even, but you would just be doing for the fun of whacking Chewie, which is entertaining in itself. Once the game is started and Chewie starts making his rounds, the action all happens very quickly. So the game may not last that long on each play, unless the players are very skilled. It's fun none the less.
My granddaughters both love this game! It is easy to play and exciting for both of them. The younger one has a very short attention span and does not like to play very many games so this game is a big hit since it is an action game and goes quickly. She is happy because she wins sometimes and it helps with the hand eye coodination that is important to growing children. It is a challenge to steer chewie towards the other players star troopers without knocking your own storm troopers down. With the release of the new star wars movie this is an especially popular game.
Maybe for a 3to 4 year old
The first thing I'd like to mention in this review is that I don't understand why the game doesn't come with the stickers already on the game pieces. That part is quite time consuming. Having said that...the game play seems to go very slow. There is an option to make it more difficult, but I don't see that it makes any difference. It's pretty cool how Chewie flys around doing flips and trying to knock the coins out. My son got bored with it rather quickly though. It is kind of hard to get a good hit on the ship if you are the player to the right. This is because the player to the left hits the ship up into the air and it usually passes right over you. It was discouraging my son to play. It's definitely more fun with three players rather then just the two. Another thing that is really irritating is if you hit the flipper too hard then it will knock the coin down into the slot where the losing coins go. I definitely think the game might be more suitable for children five and under.
A little boring
This starwars game has a max of three players and i need a minimum of 4 because of all the kids that I have. It was Not that fun when we were playing as a family. It can be a bit boring for some people but i guess it depends on how you look at it. Two double a batteries are required and adult assembley is needed. It says children 4 and up but my 10 year old son and 8 year old daughter did not like it that much, he only plays it when me or his mom make him play with his 6 year old Brother. I did not seem to like it as a parent that much either , but thats just my opinion. My six year old son seems to enjoy the game a lot and ask if we can play once his school homework is done. It seems like they are playing this game about once a week. My six year old son is the only on who seems to like this game, but he likes to play any game thats made. The only thing I like about it is that it makes noise other than that Im really not a big fan and neither is My other kids, although I am a big Starwars fan.
