This game is so darn fun. The whole family has enjoyed playing it, not just our son. It's can be a pretty long game depending on how the egg cracks. I like that because the game has managed to keep our son's sustained attention throughout the duration. I Attribute that due to the sillyness of the chicken. It is both auditory and tactile stimulating. The chicken can squawk rather loudly just like a real chicken laying eggs. Our son has compared it many times to our live chickens in the coop. He enjoys playing the game so much, he even tries to play it with his 9 month old brother. He plays for both of them as our baby just laughs every time the chicken squawks. It's an excellent game that has provided our family with lots of laughs. Definitely a winner and a game that is picked often to play. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Silly yet fun!
This is a fun silly game for pre-school age kids. My 3 year old son has fun with it but my 6 year old daughter gets bored after a few times playing. The silly squawk sound from the chicken can be hilarious for the kids but seem to be very annoying for adults as my husband would stay away when the kids play this game. This is how you play the game: You set up a chicken and egg and use two plastic barn pieces to lock the chicken in place. Players take turns rolling a dice and get to pump the chicken for that many times. Each pump pushes a lever in the barn and means a chance that the barn will open, the chicken will pop up, and the egg will come out. When the egg is out, open it and a token drops out. Egg side up means you don't collect a chick. Chick side up means you do collect a chick. There are six chicks total and whoever collects the most wins. Good thing the kids can play on their own without an adult. In term of quality, the lever is not very sturdy so it doesn't always work so sometime the kids get upset. Overall, a fun game but probably will not last for long. I received this product at a discounted price in return for my unbiased review
Chickens love the outdoors
I am not sure if I love or hate this toy. It is LOUD. It makes a noise like a squeaky dog toy....but multiply that by 10! The kids absolutely love the noise, they love it so much I am going a bit insane. The concept is adorable and instructions are easy. I am still giving it 4 stars because of the sheer delight on my kids' faces when the thing is squawking about. And the good news (or bad, depends on how you look at it) - no batteries required...it can squawk on forever and ever!!! "Hey kids, take it outside! Chickens love outdoors!"
My daughter had fun with this game. She was in so much suspense waiting for the chicken to lay the egg. While she enjoyed the game it did not hold her attention to be able to finish the game in it's entirety. The concept was great! She just didn't quite have the patience to wait over time for the chicken to hatch. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I got this as a review item for my 6 year old daughter. While she loved the game and it was fun to play we did have a problem. One side of the game would not click onto place making the game a little harder to play. The age group for the game is perfect and it is very fun just louder then expected. Easily to use
H grandkids enjoyed this game Great family fun
Bought this for my son for Christmas , it's cheaply made. Not even fun enough for a 7 year old to play.
Poorly built junk
This simply doesn't work. Its poorly engineered and I'll thought out construction ensure it will be no fun for anyone. Jamming fingers into the chest dislodges the chicken perhaps 1/100 times.
Worst game ever!!
I bought this today for my daughter and she is now crying because it doesn't work. The chicken will not stay locked down!! It makes annoying noises and I can't stress enough how much I hate this game.
Like the other lady commented, the toy doesn't work properly. really upset, especially for the price.
