What a Great Bed!

This is a wonderful bed. I'm very pleased with the final outcome. It is sturdy and solid. The color we got is white and it's a true white (not ivory or off-white). It's bigger than I thought it would be but that's a good thing in my opinion. As a toddler bed, the sides are secure to where you don't have to worry about your child falling out of the bed. The ABSOLITE plus to this bed is when my baby girl out grows it, it easily coverts into a little couch that she can sit on and read or whatever. It's better than her sitting on her bed and wearing out the mattress...she will be able to use her couch which was a toddler bed once-upon-a-time! So you're getting two products in one. The front has a little "slot" to keep a few favorite bedtime books in. Very clever! My husband and I put it together (he did most of the work) and it was fairly easy. All the parts were there and the instructions were clear enough to to follow without much difficulty. The instructions said it would take 40 minutes, but to took longer for us since our 5 year old son wanted to "help" put his sister's bed together. Our daughter is still adjusting to the bed from the crib but it's a good bed to transition into. Sturdy, good looking, and safe....thumbs up from me; I'd definitely recommend this bed.
Newly assembledDaughter exploring without the mattress

Just to cute and doesn't take up to much room

At 91 pounds, it seems to be a very solid structured Toddler Bed. Made in Canada with nontoxic laminated particleboard, but the tag on the foot board says Texas. It has (2) L wrenches But you will need a Regular screw driver (Not included) I found it easier to open all the hardware packs and lay them out separately in a pile next to the board they would be going into. That way there is no second thoughts if you are using the correct Item in the right board. Instructions state that it is a 40 minute project for 2 people. But in my case there was just little old me so it took about an hour to assemble. I chose to make the Couch version instead of the Toddler Bed because my toddlers are a little older and I placed it in the Play room but when the need is there they can still lay down and take a nap. It does not come with a crib mattress. So if you do not have a standard crib mattress, you can find one in your local Walmart. When assembled the bed is (55.0 L with book holder) 54”L without Book holder x 30.5W x 29.25H It sets 15 ½” from the floor to the top of the mattress. The side rail is 23” from the floor to the top of the side rail. The edges of the bed are smooth and rounded. The Book holder inside is 18 1/4"L X 1 1/2” W X 7”D from bottom to the top. They include enough decorative bolts to cover up the holes that are left not in use, because they have made it so the side rail can be placed where you want them to go. You can use just one or both side rails. all on one side or one on each side. So you are free to set it up the side rails the way that is best for you and your needs. The bottom of this Bed where the mattress sets is (2) solid boards that fit pretty tight so no fear of the mattress sliding around or any thing falling threw if the child pulls the mattress of the bed. Added bonus is the children love their new Toddler Bed/ Couch . Everyone that has seen this bed since I got it, want one for their child :)
The foot of the bed w/ book holder

Toddler Size Only

This is a very beautiful and sturdy bed. My children love having the book holder at the foot of the bed. That was a very nice touch. The accent molding strip on the foot-end (underneath the book holder) was broken upon opening the packaging. It was a simple fix to place that piece back on with some wood glue. Putting this bed together was moderately simple. The entire process was about 35 minutes with 2 people, the instructions estimated 40 minutes. I do not believe it would be much longer if a single person put this bed together; it is simple enough to accomplish the task alone. If you have ever put together a piece of Ikea furniture, it is close to that just to give you an idea. I was initially worried about the flat top panels that cover the bottom cross boards that support the mattress, only because they aren’t secured to the bed. This has shown not to be much of an issue since the panels don’t shift as much as I thought they would. They seem to add a bit of extra sturdiness when the children jumping on the bed. My only other issue is with the 2” gap between my standard (nothing fancy) baby/toddler mattress. The product states it allows the extra space for comforters to fit on the bed but I personally am not fond of the gap. I was under the impression that this bed grew into a twin size bed but I was sadly mistaken. This bed only turns from toddler bed to toddler day bed. It is still a very nice piece of furniture.

Adorable and Sturdy

The South Shore Savannah Toddler Bed to Daybed is the perfect addition to my toddler’s room. I bought the South Shore Savannah tall dresser and changing table in pure white to go with his grey crib. Now that he is a toddler, this bed is perfect. The pictures attached are showing the toddler bed headboard up against the dresser and changing table so you can see it matches perfectly. It doesn’t have the signature striped indents, but that’s ok because it is the exact same color and it has the same bottom curvature. The bed came packaged in cardboard and was well secured. This bed is heavy! The heavier the better in a way because that shows the quality of the wooden pieces. Having previously put together the dresser and changing table, this was not as big of a task since they are manufactured similarly. There are several pieces, but if you follow the instructions it isn’t hard to get the hang of it. I love how it has a little cubby shelf for books or anything my toddler may want to put in it. I also like the fact that there are side panels to use as bed rails and once he is big enough we can take it off. Also, when he completely out grows this we can attach both panels to one side of the bed making it a little daybed/couch. The paint is a pure white; however, it is easily chipped with continuous use. I like the rounded edges, especially for younger toddlers, so they don’t hurt themselves running or falling into the bed. Overall, it is a really nice piece and a perfect addition to his bedroom.

Nice bed but MADE OF CHEAP MATERIALS!

I received the toddler bed in white. The instructions were not complicated, and it took about an hour for my husband to put it together. There are quite a number of nuts and bolts that have to be fastened. Aside from that, the bed was together in no time. The bed can be set up as a toddler bed or converted into a daybed. We chose to put it together as a daybed because they already have beds that they already love. My twin 21 month old girls immediately jumped onto the daybed. It is the perfect height and size for little ones. It does not come with a mattress; however, any standard crib mattress seems to work. My girls absolutely loved their new bed and continued to jump and sit on it throughout the day. The daybed also has a slot on the front of the headboards for books and other little toys. That is a nice feature. However, on day 2 of having the daybed, to my horror, the bed is now broken. The toddlers jumped on the bed one too many times and managed to break the headboard screws out of their holes. Therefore, we will need to use gorilla glue or something else to put it back together. I knew that the headboard and entire bed looked like it was made of cheap materials. But I definitely didn’t expect this! My girls are only 21 months old and small for their age. I can’t imagine that this bed would hold up for most average sized toddlers. In sum, I believe that daybed has a nice appearance. The white color blends in with any other furniture in your room. However, it is not of much use if it will not last more than a day! I definitely would not recommend this product. It is not durable!

Savannah toddler bed

Great toddler bed my 15 month old daughter loved it she left her crib right away thats what we wanted because her baby sister was going to use her crib .

CUTE BUT CHEAP MATERIALS

My husband and I put together our daughter's bed last night. It wasn't hard to assemble. My husband finished the project fairly quickly and it is cute. However, the materials are cheap. The screws, bolts, .. were just thrown together. The wood is particle board, so it is not sturdy. I thought it would be more durable. I would only recommend after making sure they know about the materials.
