A really good tv

We purchased this tv because my youngest destroyed our older one with a wii remote. Once we got it all set up, I actually like it a lot better. Not only because it was bigger and cost a lot cheaper. Sony is a really good choice and I can't be happier.

Great entry level lcd

This tv is very good for an entry level lcd hdtv. You must get hd programing to really enjoy the picture quailty. Shipped to my store which was a plus since i work overnights.

Great TV

This HDTV has incredible picture! Although I would recommend upgrading cable/satellite to HD. For game systems (ps3/xbox360) be sure to get HDMI cables otherwise you are in for a let down, same goes for cable/satellite. The sound is great on the system but would still invest in a sound system. The input labeling is a great feature, makes it easy for kids to know which input there game system in plugged in to.

Great value

Nice picture, easy to install and great value. We had no problems in ordering, pickup or installation. Highly recommend this TV. We hooked it up to our Sony surround sound system and it works like a charm. We've only had it a few months, but I don't anticipate any problems. Was going to buy it at Best Buy, but they only offered home delivery for an additional $70. Walmart had in-store pickup available for free, and the price of the TV on both websites was only $1 different. Did my research on Consumer Reports before I purchased the set, and am very satisfied.
This TV has a great picture and excellent sound. It sounds like we have a home theater system running. My only complaints would be that this TV is BRIGHT! It is so bright I have to turn it down. I also use this TV as a PC monitor and the picture quality for games is great. The problem is that this TV will ONLY run a game at the TV's native resolution 1920x1080. If you change the resolution on the game, the TV will lose signal from the PC and you will be forced to restart your PC so you can reset the resolution. I wanted to run a game at a lower resolution because I sit across the room from the TV with my keyboard, mouse, etc and all chat text in a game is small so if I reduce the resolution a little it will enlarge the text making it more visible from across the room. Over all though, this is a GREAT tv. The picture quality and sound makes this worth the money I spent.

best ever

This tv is the best ever and at this price trust me it doesn't get any better that this sony bravia. somebody said something about the sound quality is low but you just have to go in setting and adjust the volume to max and then control it from there.i love this tv thanks so much to walmart cause on all the others sites this tv is very expensive.

I compared this Sony LCD TV to every unit wal mart had on sale in there electronic show room and using the same HD video feed this Sony had absolutly the best picture of any tv on display that wal mart had, it does not have any problems displaying action sceens there is no plur if you set the video noise reduction to high, duh!!! I personaly would have liked a bigger picture Phillips had a bigger set, 52 inches but the video was not as good and my wife really liked the Sony and so do I, this is a best buy, I also connected my 110 watts of audio output to this unit and I have no problems with sound at all after owning this unit for over a year with no problems we are very happy with this set. I have been an Electronics Tech for 26 years and Sony lasts alot longer than most brands they have always made quality equipment, I would buy another if this one ever dies...

Great Value

For the money, this is a great TV. I am really impressed with the dark levels and the color with this TV. The picture surpassed my expectation. Its one weakness is pixel blur. Fast moving images (such as sports, scrolling text, action scenes) have some blur to them. This is common with LCDs and it may be better with the 120Hz version but if you are not a videophile the extra money is probably not worth it. I have this in a room with a large bay window and a bunch of lamps and the screen suffers from almost no glare. I've read some people complaining about the sound but I've had no problems, I actually haven't ever turned the volume up more than 25%. Part of it could be due to how the TV is positioned. I have it hung on a wall so the down facing speakers have nothing blocking them. If you have it sitting on a table that could be an issue. I was skeptical about the auto dimming feature but it actually works pretty nice. Overall, a great TV for the money.

returning (exchanging ) today due to sound issues

Great picture with HD receiver. Volume has to be turned up almost to max to hear. ( and I have a small house) but, due to sound going in and out since we bought it, we are going to try and exchange it with walmart before our 90 days are up. We've had it about 6 weeks and the sound has been a constant issue Thinking we just got a dud. I really was pleased with everything else about this tv But wanted to warn others!

There is not much good I can say about Sony at this point; however, if I can stop one person from wasting their hard earned money on this TV, I will find my time in writing this worth it. About 18 months ago I bought this TV; I paid $1300.00 at that time. Ten months after I brought it home the screen became messed up. I called Wal-Mart and I was told to call Sony which I did. Sony sent a repair man out that replaced all the insides of the TV (screen, speakers, ect.) The repair man left and my screen worked great; yet, my sound didn't. I called the repair man right away only to find his cell phone was off. After two more weeks w/o a TV the repair man returned, only to plug in the speakers which he forgot to in the first place. Five months later the TV doesn't work again but I have to pay someone to come look at / fix it because the warranty on the new parts was only 90 days. Anyway that's my story but don't just take my word You-Tube has many stories just like mine.
