This has all features and simple set up

For DVD and CD playing and no wires needed. Hooks up with just one cord in minutes.

    Like it

Once I got the correct digit cable to connect to my surround system it works great. I had a digit optical setup before on regular DVD and needed a digital coaxial sound cable. I would recommend this DVD player plus there are a lot extras that can be accessed through this player. Small but does a lot.

    Fast !

I have another Sony player , DVD , I bought this and hooked it up , I couldn't believe how fast this player is , turn it on and the movie is available like right now ! I have mine set for full screen , I couldn't be happier , I would like to see the screen come up "Blu-ray player" but I think that is a standby screen , I have figured out how to get that to come up but no movie , so I am sure it is a standby screen , yes , I don't know the whole player .....Yet ! I'm learning .

    It exceeded my expectations.

I easily updated my old TV and through the player got on the internet. Yipee, I'm loving it.My only complaint, which isn't really bad, is when using the down search button, it's so close to the "home" button, I accidentally push it instead of down search. That's kind of annoying. Maybe move the home button a little more off center?

freezes up making me have to unplug it

the dvd player is very frustrating it connects to wifi sometimes and then a lot of the time it freezes up and the only way to reboot is to go and unplug it not sure what the issue is also connecting to hulu and amazon video has its issues starts out with blurry picture takes a few min to load and amazon video dont even get me started on that it doesnt even load half the time gives me an error message, this player was a replacement for the 2014 model and i have to say the quality control is terrible on these products mass produced and essentially useless your better off buying a fire stick with quick connectivity and no issues if you dont need a wifi connected bluray player dont get one not worth the aggravation cause you shouldnt have to unplug a device that freezes all the time thats not something worth buying i blame the mass production of these devices and quality control ill stick to my fire stick any day or apple tv if i dont need to watch a dvd

    Worst Blu-ray Player Ever!!

I bought this player for two reasons: 1) it has Wi-fi - this way I can stream content from my PC through the player to my TV 2) it has Gracenote - so that when I listen to a CD, the song titles and artwork appear on my TV However my bone to pick with this product is it's Wi-fi capability or lack thereof. Often times when streaming, the video I'm watching abruptly pauses, starts again, pauses, starts again...etc etc. Sometimes if I let it go, the problem will work itself out. Most times though I have to stop playback and then start it again. This generally works and I pick up where I left off. This isn't always the case though. Even worse is when the video just freezes altogether. I don't see any reason why this would happen. My computer/modem is right next to my entertainment set up, so not like the Wi-fi signal has to travel to a separate room in my home. The video attached is just a small portion of the issues I've described above. Does anyone else have this problem?

    Great Blu-Ray Player

I recently started looking for a new blu-ray player when my last one went super wonky. I had a wal-mart card and a target card from xmas and decided to go with walmart since they have the bigger selection. I chose this specific player in part based on the reviews from this recent black friday. It was still (or again) on sale and, for the most part, the reviews were all positive. Really glad I made this choice. Super easy to setup, super easy to use. Typed in my wifi password and I was ready to netflix. All the mainstream apps are already on the main screen so I rented a movie from vudu the next day - again, no issues with that process or with streaming the movie. I played around with it and figured out how to share my cell screen with the big screen - also easier than expected. All in all, between savings and gift cards, I paid about $50 for this but it was absolutely worth the full price.

    Sony BDP-S3700 Blu-ray Player-Highly Recommend it!

Couldn't ask for a better BR player, easy to install, easy to navigate, highly recommend it.

I can already say that I hate, I hate, I hate this player already. I just replaced it because I had a 2012 version that wasn't getting updates anymore and would randomly freak out. These new players are so much different that I hate it. I don't like how they separate the My apps, featured apps, and other sections that I can't scroll through, I have to go one by one by one to get to a certain app. I have only gone into the Netflix app and I absolutely hate how it is set up. I called Netflix to tell them that my list of saved shows/movies was gone. To have the guy tell me that on basically all new players, companies are putting the list on the very bottom of the app. I had to go through 27 different categories, I actually counted it, to finally find my list. They need to do an update on the player and make it more user friendly. The old setup was just fine. The only reason I'm keeping this one is because I have so many movies on bluray now and I have a subscription to Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon.

    Fantastic DVD and Streaming Player

I purchased this on Black Friday, so I received a great deal...that's always nice. However, after using I would be happy with this product at regular price. The player is conveniently small and appealing to the eye, but packs a lot of power. The only minor issue it there is no way to tell from the outside if the unit is powered on or not. The player provides a great picture and the menu is very easy to follow. The unit allows you to customize the main menu to put your favorite apps in a convenient location. There are a lot of apps to choose from....more than you will probably ever use. The setup is easy and using the streaming apps works well. The remote control has very good range also. I have had no issues with the player and am currently enjoying the ability to stream Netflix and Amazon Prime.
