just firm enough to hold your head in the most comfortable position you can imagine! not to firm as to give you a pain in the neck like others i've used.

I find this pillow more firm than the brand name. Pretty firm but very comfortable.

Soft. The cover is so thin I doubt it would make it through a wash/dry cycle and using a regular case would defeat the purpose of the 'arms'. The pillow is not heavily stuffed or supportive... I dont care for the pillow at all.

It's firm enough to support your head and back, however it's only 3 inches thick and doesn't provide enough height in my opinion to fill the space between your shoulder and head. I would recommend either getting 2 pillows if you have large shoulders or put a flat pillow underneath for extra height. I use a travel pillow underneath the Somerset pillow for extra height which still provides space underneath my ear.

It's about 1 inch thick! Not worth buying!

The stuffing is pieces badly stuffed into the case, which is why it is lumpy and floppy

It is supposed to be made of pieces of poly fiber but is is firm and feels a bit like it is one piece.I havn't had it very long and hope it softens up a bit!

It's pieces of poly fill which in my opinion is better than foam. I had a foam version of this pillow a few years back that I ordered from Amazon for $60 and it was great at the beginning but the small section of foam below the ear hollow quickly lost integrity and became very compressed. Also, the foam couldn't be washed, discolored quickly and began breaking down leaving a kind of foam dust in the pillow case. It smelled unpleasant after a while too. The poly fill pillow is washable and you can adjust the fill where needed for more support.

It appears to be one piece but the fill is so soft there is NO FIRMNESS whatsoever, it's about 1 inch thick, maybe a little more-more like a place mat than a pillow. Don't waste your money.

The pillow is too firm and hurt my head after sleeping on it for a while.

It is made from foam that is washable. The only issue I would see in doing this is the shape. If you have a washer with an agitator, it could possibly damage the pillow. I would only do so using a non agitator style top/front loader.  It will need to be dried thoroughly before placed back into the protective cover. The tag I can see from inside the cover has the wash in cool water symbol on it, and the dryer use is x out as in do not dry mechanically.  I use a zippered body pillow case over my pillow&#39;s protective case that it came with to avoid needing to wash the inner pillow.

I sleep primarily on my right side and it works great for me.

I can sleep on either side with no problem.

You can sleep on either side. It works great! I put the long side in my front instead of to my back and it works great!! Either way is okay though.

I flip flop mine due to body heat---sleep with either the long or short side in front--works for me

There is a hole on either side for your ear to sit comfortable, so you can switch from either side.

Can you sleep on your right side so that the ear hole is in correct position or is it for left sided sleepers only?

My wife is a side sleeper and  has had problems with her neck for many years. We have gone through so many pillows that I have loss count.  I ordered her this one when I saw it on the Walmart site and its honestly the first pillow that has given her a full nights restful sleep.  I normally don't write or brag about a product, but this one was certainly worth the time to take in hope it may help another person in pain.

Wow, its great!

We have been using the Sidesleeper Pro pillow for a few years and loved it... the first time we bought it. But ALL subsequent pillows after that first purchase were VERY cheaply made and would start ripping at the seems almost immediately. Thought that was a fluke so re-ordered a time or two (a new pillow each year kind of thing) with the same result. But the pillow was the only pillow I could find that would allow me a great nights sleep night after night without my fingers going numb or my old injury in my shoulder flaring up.

Then I stumbled upon this pillow... same result and same price... but WAY better made! I look every time I pull the case off to wash it and so far no sign of the stuffing peaking it's ugly little head out of those seems. Fingers crossed it stays that way for the longer haul.

I purchased this item to replace a side-sleeper pro pillow I purchased several years ago. I was very pleasantly surprised that the quality and comfort of this product is every bit as good (if not better) than the branded pillow it replaces. I would highly recommend this pillow to my other fellow side-sleepers!

Great quality... extremely comfortable

I've used the brand name of this pillow for years, but unfortunately they changed the filling and I hated the micro beads and had a hard time finding the cotton like filling one (sorry, not a technical term). When I saw this pillow, and for only $15, I was stoked! I ordered 2 in the hopes it was correct. I was not disappponted! It arrived on a vacuum packed bag, folded and squashed on half, so I thought it was the wrong package, but when I got home and cut the packaging off, it was exactly what I wanted. I threw it in washer and dryer and it plumed right back up to be exactly like my previous pillows. Not only that, the pillow cases fit my old pillows too! My old pillow had burst the seams and were still usable, but only in a pillow case, and you can't buy replacement pillow cases (except on Etsy from some lady in Australia and their cost is $25 before shipping!). So now o not only have two NEW pillows, when I wash them I can use the OLD pillows too! It's a win win!! I've looked everywhere for these and couldn't believe Walmart carried my unique pillow and it was so easy to order and just pick up on my local store. Even better was there was no line at the pick up, so I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. Extremely happy with my experience

Exactly what I wanted

I'm a side sleeper and use a c-pap so this pillow allows be to rest without always readjusting.  It's a little firmer than I normally like but the other benefits outweigh firmness issue.
