I purchased the 80 lb. Spiderwire Stealth to go on a Tuna Trip out of Galveston. Had trouble finding them, but finally hooked up with a good one! When I took up the slack, my rod shattered! Only had first loop left! Really hard to get him to them boat. Was really hard to reel him in! Finally got him up under the boat. Since I only had first loop on rod, deckhands had to push line away from boat. Got him to top, and they gaffe him!! After he was in, realized bail was broke on reel!! Everything went wrong, but the line!! It was a 95 lb. Yellowfin!!! Would I reccomend this line..YES will not use any other!!!

Still my "go to" braid after all these years ...
When braid became a staple for bass fishing many years ago I tried several brands. However, once i spooled on some Spiderwire Stealth I felt like I had a line that worked for me. Then the braided line revolution really took off and every tackle company out there had their braid on the shelf. Over the years braids have evolved and some of these lines are simply amazing, and some have an amazing price tag to go along with it. I'm always sampling new products on the market, but I will continue to settle on products that perform well and are priced fairly. I wouldn't say that Spiderwire Stealth is the absolute best braid on the market as it relates to evaluating every single feature that braids offer. However, for the money Spiderwire Stealth is still on my reels to this day. The line is strong, casts well, spools well, lasts a long long time, holds knots well, works equally well on casting and spinning gear, and all this at a very fair price point. Spiderwire Stealth ... count me in!
Just works day in day out
Have been using Stealth for many years now. Tried others at first then returned to the best. It's small dia. cuts through the water requiring less weight to fish at greater depths at higher speed. Can't beat it's wet strength and knot strength. Stealth is the only line I trust to give my customers the edge on landing large Catfish. Thanks for such a great product. Capt. Barbara Witherell.
" Great Choice for Vertical Jigging"
I use this line in 6 lb. test hi-vis yellow for vertical jigging walleyes out of the Detroit River. It provides excellent sensitivity, strength and the thin line diameter keeps line bow to a minimum when jigging water that is 30 to 50 feet deep. I have landed musky up to 30 lbs. and sturgeon up to 52 lbs. with the 6 lb. test. Would recommend this product.
Strong line, with great cast ability
Have been using this product for about a month now, and the only complaint I have is the braid spreads out if in a knot. For example, I was fishing a frog last night over heavy hydrilla and had a bass blow up on it and went to set the hook and ripped the frog from the fishes mouth. Well the frog ended up behind me and the line wrapped all around the rod, which I had happen with PowerPro and never had a problem with it. However, I could not get this knot out, the braid kind of fell apart in the knot and was just a huge mess. The pros on the other hand, this line casts amazing. For being 65 pound braid, it casts like it's 30. I have yet to have a bass break me off in the heaviest of cover fishing in central Florida.
