Specification dimensions differ from item description. Which one is correct?

Thank you for your interest in our products . The dimensions are 15'' H X 11.7'' W X 24.8'' D.

I purchased and returned this mailbox as it was really BIG.  Did not open the box or note the dimensions but did notice it said JUMBO or Extra Large.  Looking for one in between Standard and Jumbo.

Mailbox size shows 2 measurements.  Which is correct?

Order online quite often so thought I would save wear and tear and time on my postman and get a bigger box so he doesn't have to get out of his little mail truck. I like the box just fine.

Great mailbox for someone getting packages.

The box arrived in great shape.   Installation was easy.   The metal latch and flag was an upgrade from the plastic ones on my old box.  The paint finish on the box was excellent.

Everything about this is perfect. My husband is a carrier where we live and he has installed about 40 of these box Gray and black. At no charge to his customers. Everyone are trilled with the appearance of these boxes. He is waiting for his next order.

Mail man on a mission

This was a gift. My only complaint is the box indicated the item and picture. I had to grab it before it was seen. The mailbox itself is sturdy, well made as you would expect for the brand.

Just like my original!

One of the back edges with dented along with one of the edges of the door. I had to take a pair of pliers and a hammer and try and fix it the best I could. handling of such things needs to be done more carefully and gently.

Did not arrive as I expected

The size is great.  It did arrive slightly dented.  This points up the problem that the the sheet metal of the broad walls is likely not strong enough to resist denting when hit hard with compacted snow and ice thrown up by snow plows in regions with a hard winter.  Seems better suited to a mild or non-winter climate.  Does not include mounting plate which is sold separately (which is not obvious when ordering on -line).  I bought this item to spare our postal delivery person the trouble of coming to the house with packages in winter weather.  I had hoped that the gauge of the metal would be somewhat thicker and stronger.

Nice and big but not strong enough for hard winter

Arrived damaged, looked like it had been dropped on both back corners and likely kicked once in the top. Obviously not how the company intended, but since we needed the replacement mailbox right away I did not have time  to return just to wait for another replacement to be sent. Just ended up having to hammer out the damaged corners and dented lid/top enough to be less noticeable as someone drives by, and called it good enough. Price was cheap enough, but you get what you pay for.

Had the mailbox that I purchased (as pictured to the left) and as described in is's description, I would have been extremely happy.  As it is, the one I received was painted an ugly gray and all of the bottom corners were dented in.    Your customer relations people were very understanding and agreed that your advertising is misleading and refunded the purchase price. Because of them, I will continue to shop at hayneedle.
