I looked at a lot of different mowers from different manufacturers and stores, before I settled on this Snapper model. The Honda 160 Engine was a must have for me, as it is head an shoulders above anything else in its class. I also really wanted an all metal deck (for longevity) and large rear wheels for better maneuverability in uneven terrain. My wife insisted on Self Propelled, and if I was going that route I really wanted AWD. Throw in the ability to bag, mulch or discharge and I thought I would be looking at a much more expensive lawnmower, or making concessions on what features we did get. I shopped around quite a bit and could not find anything that matched the features and value of this mower. I was happy to see that my local Wal-Mart had them in stock and drove over to pick one up.
The minor assembly that was required was simple (no tools needed), and once I got it filled with some oil and gas it started right up. This mower does a great job with mulching and side discharging, which even with the side discharge it doesn't leave the huge clumps that my old mower did. The self-propel with variable speed makes this thing a breeze to guide around the yard. The engine runs strong and is not overly loud, like some push mowers.
It's early on, but so far I could not be happier with my purchase of this Snapper mower.
