This product does as advertised. I needed a dual TV tuner that could record HD programs from my TV signal onto the hard drive of my computer, and this does the job. It records seemlessly, and I am able to use my remote for Windows Media Center. SO, I get a TiVo experience for free, as I use Windows Media Center to record my programs and set up my TV Guide. ***NOTE: I had a problem setting up the product for the following reason. I followed the instructions exactly as indicated, and plugged in the supplied Ethernet cable to my laptop, but nothing happened. This went on for about an hour, and I could not figure out the problem. Then, I tried an extra Ethernet cable I had in my apartment, and Viola! IT worked. The problem was the cable that came with the Tuner. So, if you have this problem, just ditch the cable in the box, and use your own. I have been problem free ever since, and I've had the tuner for about 3 months now. Also keep in mind that if you want HD quality recordings, your computer has to have at least Intel i3, i5, or i7 or higher technology.

Wonderful product! Compact and easy to use!

does what it says

I bought this to be able to record OTA tv programs. Most of what I watch is local anyway so why should I be paying money to satellite or cable for what I can get for free. This product set up very quickly with a Windows 7 system. Setting it up in Ubuntu was a little more tedious but it does work well with Myth TV.

A nice suprise

I use for OTA TV on computers connected via Ethernet cat5 cable. What an easy setup it was. I can watch the same channel or different channels on 2 computers at the same time. It works well in Windows XP, windows 7, & Linux Ubuntu. If you want to record TV Windows 7 media center works very well as it includes a TV scheduler. I have converted the recorded files (using Freemake) & watched recorded HDTV via a ROKU 2. I can't believe that I had not heard of HDHomeRun before, It works so well.

Great way to view TV through computer devices

This unit is pleasingly small, and has two tuners that offer the capability of Picture In Picture (PIP). It has opened up a number of other channels that I didn't know existed, and has excellent picture and sound quality. I was hesitant at first to invest in this unit, as the programming it digitizes is sent to my computer(s) via my home ethernet network. I was originally leaning towards one of those portable USB jobs, but I figured pulling in stations is a gamble on the road, I may as well invest in something stationary. You will need a very good antenna to get the most out of this investment.

Works extremely well.

Worked even better than I thought it would. I was amazed how well it worked. Awesome and easy to use. It even improved my reception considerably over my TV. Unfortunately my area doesn't transmit all the Main 5 TV stations. So I had to return it. When I move to a different town. I will Definately buy this product again. Out of 8 indoor antennas the best was from RadioShack.

Great unit

Easy to install. Worked as advertised.
