Silica Gel Crystals 1.5 lb Tub

I purchased this to use to dry moisture out of a vintage guitar. I made pouches from plastic sheeting (for the back), and used dryer sheets for the front, sewn together and then filled with silica gel and placed in the guitar within the case. Nice slow way to dry out excess moisture and bring the guitar back to normal (get rid of swelling on the top and the back). Then when done, I will just spread the crystals out on a sheet and bake in the oven to restore them back to new condition.

I am using this small tub of silica gel crystals in a homebuilt dehydrator for my Lycoming airplane engine. The crystals reduced the humidity in the engine from 80% down to 20% in a couple of hours, which should prevent any rust from forming inside the engine (while its parked, not while its running). Whatever your drying needs are, this product may be just what you need!
