If you want to stay healthy in America, don't get sick. Following on the heels of his award winning hit ''Fahrenheit 9/11'' and his Oscar winning film ''Bowling for Columbine,'' acclaimed filmmaker Michael Moore's new documentary sets out to investigate the American healthcare system. Sticking to his tried-and-true one-man approach, Moore sheds light on the complicated medical affairs of individuals and local communities. ''Sicko'' promises to be every bit as indicting as Moore's previous films.

For those who are concerned about health care

This is an amazing documentary by Michael Moore that will open up any American's eyes about the health care problems we are experiencing in America, comparative to the other countries such as France, Canada, Cuba, Guantánamo Bay, and many other countries. It shows how we have been misinformed by our own government about "waiting for months and months for medical care" under their health systems, and they actually receive their medical care promptly, with A + satisfaction by all accounts. I highly recommend this to anyone who is concerned about health care reform! P.S. This is not the right DVD cover, I will attatch the pictures of it.
Very informative on health care in the USA and how we compare to other countries. Most people die waiting for insurance companies to a decision. Movie overall is telling the truth about america"s healthcare system.

Do you have medical coverage?

In 1974 I took a class on billing for medical insurance and a class on caring for the elderly in a nursing home. Though I was quite young at the time, it all felt wrong the way the elderly were charged (overcharged) for each and every item they needed. It felt wrong to see the disparity of what each person had to pay for the same medical care. I've held that view to the present. This movie did my heart good, to see the stories told in candid truths. This movie is a treasure.

truth hurts sometimes..

I understand from talking with others about Michael Moore many do not care for this mans opinions, but the truth of these matter is.. IT IS the TRUTH.. As i read what it was about, it provoked more of an interest in what was being said. I read another review and completely agree that it stirs many emotions.. happiness, anger, frustration, sympathy. Whether or not you like the man.. you need to watch this film. I bought it so I could share it with as many people as i can.

Time to go on the streets?

This movie embodies what the true spirit of America should be like. Someone like Michael Moore going after Corporate America who are, -for the gain of a few- taking advantage of all others and are litterally going over dead bodies that are fellow Americans. It might be you down the road being denied your right to get treatment just because you did not read the fine print in your contract or did not know that you had a preexisting condition on which they for sure will deny your treatment. It is time to go out and make yourself heard. Support the Bill H.R.676 that will change the health industry to serve us, not themselves.
