I highly recommend this vacuum. The LED lights are great!!

It picks up more dirt better than any other vacuum I have used. It captures all of the dirt and what is in the cup is the tiniest particles ensuring nothing escapes like others I have used. The most impressive thing to me was the ability to pick up hair out of the carpet. Our old vacuum really didn't get it but this one pulls it out of the carpet, though it gets wrapped on the brush, and you know its clean.
Good performer and easy to use.
After about one month, I believe that this is the most powerful vacuum that I have ever had. It is bigger than my last shark (rotator) which was a wonderful machine also, but I burned the motor out because I didn't maintain the filters as I should have. I won't do that again. This one is very effective with good features for using it off the floor as well as rugs and hard surfaces. It is easier to break down into its smaller parts for above floor use, but I do wish that it had a longer hose and maybe an extension tube as my old rotator had. I wouldn't trade it, though. It is definitely a keeper!
Shark Rotator NV650
I bought this vacuum about a month ago and use it daily. So far I really like it. It's not too heavy, is easy to maneuver, and picks up dirt well. We have shedding pets so my biggest struggle is pet hair, and this vac does a good job picking it all up. I'm still getting used to the different configurations this vacuum has. You can take the handle off in 2 different ways to create a cleaning wand, which is helpful for getting into tight spaces. The height adjustment is very nice and it does a good job on hard floors. It also has a nice long cord. It's super easy to empty the dust cup and it empties well. I've had bagless vacs in the past that didn't empty easily and I'd have to stick my hands inside to fish out globs of dirty, dusty pet hair. Gross. I do wish this had a retractable cord. My previous vacuum did and I really miss that feature. I also wish the LED lights could be turned off. I don't know if it's my poor vision or what, but the lights make it harder for me to see what I'm vacuuming on carpeted floors. I love it on the hard floors, though. Otherwise, I am really enjoying this purchase.
Best vacuum ever
I have swapped my Kirby for this Shark model. The Kirby is wonderful but too heavy for me. The Shark is as good as my Kirby but much easier to handle and navigate. I love the fact that all filters are washable and donnot need to be replaced. I am glad to no longer have the expense of replacing bags and belts. I am a pet owner with 3 cats and a very large mix breed dog who sheds year round. I could fill a bag with his fur alone! Now all I have to do is dump the cannister. Much healthier environment since making the switch. I am also a lifelong asthmatic so this is real deal maker!
Love this vacuum! We gave great thought to this purchase. We had seen the exact vacuum at Lowe's for $349.00 and decided it was the one we wanted after testing out the floor model but we were not willing to pay that price! We decided to wait for a sale. My husband and I happened to be in Wal-Mart and decided to check if they had the same vacuum and how much. What a GREAT DEAL $259.00!!!! Compared to Lowe's we would save $90 so we bought it. 3 different ways you can use the vacuum...smart purchase.
What a wonderful machine
Who would have thought a vacuum would bring happiness to my life? It does everything beautifully and powerfully! Easy to move around. Easy to empty. Easy to dust the drapes and baseboards. See all the dirt left by your other vacuums. I reached all the way under the big beds for the first time in years. Try it. You won't be disappointed...you will be ecstatic.
I absolutely love this vacuum. I had been wanting a new vacuum because my Dyson (only a couple years old) just was cleaning like it used to. I knew I would go to a Shark because my mom is on her second Shark and loves them. I saw the commercial for this one and knew it was what I wanted because I could clean under my couch without have hook up a bunch of other pieces. Got the vacuum home and tried it right away. It picked up all the dirt my Dyson has left behind for a long time. Will never again spend all that money on a Dyson! New Shark customer for life.
It's a Keeper...
Rather an odd story here. Bought three rooms of Mohawk Smart Strand carpeting and my Dyson and old Shark wouldn't work with it. Just impossible to move it -- stuck! (After googling on internet and finding someone else with this problem that drilled holes in front of his vacuum we did this to the old Shark and it did work allowing more air flow I guess). Just not comfortable with this and felt we may harm carpeting and void any carpet warranty. Come to find out that older vacuums are not compatible with the new carpet fibers (carpet companies and sellers should disclose this but buyer beware). Did call Mohawk and they gave us names and model numbers of recommended vacuums. Some ranging in the $800 dollar area and having to purchase bags as well. I prefer bagless. Because of price of bags and not being in stock when I need them. This Shark NV650 works!!! And is on the recommended list!!! Walmart is the only place we could find this model so if you are having a problem similar to ours, buy it. Like machine too. Will be able to vac under beds now too with the lift off design. Very happy. Rather a long story here but it had to be told. Sounds far fetched but one just can't make this stuff up.
Shark Vac for the Win - with one caveat! :)
We love our new Shark vac -- with a heads up -- the "high carpet" setting does NOT work on really thick, high shag carpeting/area rugs, BUT the wood floor setting does the job just fine! :) We originally purchased a Shark at the urging of our housecleaner, whose job it is to clean homes every day all day long. We figured she knew her stuff, 'cuz she is really good at it & had been cleaning for us over a year when she recommended it to us! We did have an Oreck, which we LOVED for over 25 years (so light & powerful all at once!), yet we pulled up our carpets to expose beautiful wood flooring throughout our 1956 built home & found our Oreck simply would not vacuum the thick shag area rugs we put down in a couple spaces. So, the one thing we were most excited about was the ability of the Shark to tackle our new "high shag" area rug -- this did end up happening, yet NOT on the High Carpet setting, which is the one we figured it would work on (go figure?) -- only on the wood floor setting. Since we also have the wood floors exposed through most of our home now, we figured this is a win-win, just surprised to find the "high" carpet setting on the vac was not the way to go. We also really enjoy the way the Shark pulls itself across the floors -- it's really magical & way less wear & tear on our aging shoulders (we're 54!). There are a few more parts than we would like, but once we figured out all the ins/outs/ups/downs, we prefer it now, as it can virtually do any area, including the furniture, curtains, windosills, etc, with the pull-a-way part (or whatever they call it?! ha!)! Also, as a plus, we recently rescued a Husky/terrier mix of a dog & he does some shedding for sure. This vacuum has handled all his shedding, no problema. Just be sure to empty out your cylinder each time you use it (both ways - read the instructions & you'll see what I'm talking about!) & you'll be good to go! :)
