Great multispecies freshwater combo
I bought this combo fish multispecies freshwater fish and it didn't disappoint. On my first outing I caught crappie, perch and a 15" pickerel on a stickbait. The rod has a soft tip for long cast and strike detection with plenty of backbone behind it when needed. The reel was quiet with a nice smooth drag. I love the split grip, very comfortable.
I purchased the Amphibian combo at a small little bait shop while on a vacation in florida for $26.89 I have caught so many fresh/saltwater fish with this set up.I just found out it was a youth rod from the site. Anyone small or big can use this setup and be happy with the quality and performance you will receive. I also love how I can break apart the rod for easy/ safe transport/storage - would suggest running at least a 10lb line on it.
I love my Ugly Sticks
I bought this rig 4 to 5 months ago. I river fish for large mouth bass. Been using this rig with a 6" worm, no weight, sinko style. I get great action and lots of strikes. I've had more fun catching bass on this rig than any other rig I've ever owned. Their is nothing like catching a 4-5 lb bass on a light spinning outfit. This rig has held up well and I've probably landed 50 to 60 bass on it. I look forward to more success. I almost exclusively use Ugly Stick rods. I love the product.
