I would say YES. And probably deafen them for a time!

Its not what I bought it for but have used it on a telemarketer and havent hear from them since. It is loud (115db) and do not recommend using it indoors.

Will it stop a telemarketer dead in their tracks?

Per the product description, "This marine horn can hold up to 100 psi of compressed air for delivering a powerful 115 dB sound blast."

I have not checked db level but Advertised is 115db. It is fairly loud especially in a closed area.

It does not say how many decibels, but it is very loud. I have to close my ears, but you can turn it to a lower sound. It has a knob to turn it up louder or softer.

I am not sure about the actual decibel level, but it is LOUD! It scares the dog and cats in my household to death.

How well sound carries depends on several factors including density of trees, buildings and geography. In general it should be loud enough, but you will need to test it to be sure.

sure thing! we use it as a warning for bear on our property to tell folks to bring their pets etc. inside!

I would not be very confident in using this on a 40 acre golf course. I thnk it is meant for "close encounters of the bear kind".

It sounds as loud to me as a regular non-refillable airhorn. Try a regular airhorn at your golf course to see if that is loud enough to carry over the entire 40 acres. But why not get something like an air raid siren? If I was golfing and heard an airhorn, tornado is not exactly the first thing I'd think of.

l think this horn might reach all the golfers on your course. I would check with one of your Golf course suppliers and buy a horn that mounts to your building and works from electric.

Keep searching. It's loud but won't cover 40 acres.

We bought this for the purpose of using it on unwanted telephone calls, particularly telemarketers and political callers. Hopefully the callers ears ring for a very long time. I especially like this horn because when it runs out of air I can refill it.

This is now the kids new alarm clock. I can refill it with my air compressor (or you could use a bicycle pump if needed). It is super loud, plus there's a dial to adjust the intensity of the sound, which is great for using it indoors. Cheapest price I could find on the internet!

Works great.

I used this as a training tool to teach my dog to stop barking for no reason,  she would be in the back yard barking and barking at nothing.  I would open back door, give the air horn a blast and she would immediately stop barking and come onto back porch to see what the noise was, of course I had already gone back inside the house..  If she barked again, I simply repeated the procedure and after a couple of days, maybe using the air horn a dozen time or more, she stopped barking when she was outside.  NOTE, When she was in the house, she would still alert to sounds she heard outside, so it did not keep her from being a great watch dog.  Worked on my son's two dogs also.  We never used the air horn when our dogs were close by only when they were out of site and barking in our back yards.  Did not want to damage their hearing, air horn is very loud.  Great training tool.

Came pre-charged with air which tells me that there are no slow leaks. Want something to keep near the phone to thank "Rachel from cardholder services" when she calls. This should work fine.

does not give 40 one second blasts as advertised on one charge.....only about 17-20 blasts....but it costs nothing to refill if you have an air compressor

The good thing is that you can regulate how loud you want it. The only problem filling it up, especially if you have a air compressor is that you don't know how much air you put in it unless you use a gauge. It would be nice if this product would have a built-in gauge but you can't ask more for the price.

I may yet return the product. So far it doesn't get many blasts from an air charge. The description said you could use it about 40 times before having to refill it with air. So far it has needed refilling after fewer than 5 uses.

Decent product - in theory

I wanted a marine horn to help condition my dogs not to jump on the front door when they are outside looking for my wife. Made in Canada, the SeaSense seemed perfect for my use as it uses compressed air instead of compressed gas in those throw away versions. Also, you can adjust the volume. It worked great at first (and dissuaded the dogs just as I had hoped), but when I went to recharge it with my bicycle pump, it leaked. Maybe I got a bad one, but mine didn't last more than a week.

SeaSense Eco-Blast Good idea, poor design

I bought this horn to detour the wild turkeys off my property as they were attacking my small dogs. I also use it to go into the woods to disturb their roosting places and when they hear it they have been leaving! it is also usefull to train dogs and scare off other wild life that I do not need on my doorsteps!! Would recommend this product.
