Keeps water out
I received this Scotchgard Heavy Duty Water Shield Spray from the Walmart Spark Reviewer Program to try. I first sprayed down my camping tent. Its an old school Cloth Military Shelter Half Type tent. I haven't Went camping yet but It sure repelled water when I sprayed it with the hose. I checked inside after and it was dry. I gave it a good hosing down too. I also sprayed my yard work shoes down and now my feet stay nice and dry when doing yard chores. I used it on my lawn chair cushions and so far they have stayed nice and dry. I would say that this Water shield works great! I will be using it from now on to water shield anything that needs it. Thanks for reading this review
Works like a charm!
I received the Scotchgard Heavy Duty Water Shield Spray as a Walmart Spark Reviewer. Prior to receiving the Scotchgard I had purchased a different brand which was made specially for rainwear and when we had a horrendous rain storm a few weeks ago was terribly disappointed with how it worked as I got wet through my new coat. I was anxious to try the Scotchgard because this is April and I knew more storms would be on the way. Yesterday did not disappoint. Again in New York City we had a horrendous rain storm. This time however I had treated my new raincoat with the Scotchgard Heavy Duty Water Shield Spray the day prior to the storm and it worked like a charm. I was pleasantly surprised by the way the water (rain) literally ran right off the rain coat. The only part of me that was wet, and I mean soaked was the jeans I was wearing that had not been treated with the Scotchgard. My shoes and rain coat were actually dry within twenty minutes. The rain had completely rolled right off my shoes and coat. See the photos. It literally repels rain just like it says on the container. It really does create a durable barrier to water. I had sprayed over my coat and shoes one time, the other brand I had to spray, let dry, and repeat and it still didn't work. With Scotchgard I only had to apply once and it worked like a charm! It drys quickly after spraying and my rain coat did darken a little (which it states may happen) but it worked and that's what counts. You can use on furniture, boat canvas, outdoor furniture, shoes, clothing. This product gets five stars!
Repels waters good
Protects with only 1 coat!
I used this to protect my new patio cushions and my umbrella. The fabric on my cushions would get soaked from the rain and needed drying for a day or two.
I sprayed on the Scotchgard Heavy Duty Water Shield and it exceeded my expectations! The odorless application was rather easy for me.
I hung my cushions on the clothesline so I could spray both sides. They dried rather quickly and retained their vibrant colors. The fabric still felt comfortable, breathable, and not stiff or plastic feeling.
I then applied the Scotchgard to my patio table umbrella (after removing it from the table) and rain just beads up and the gravity pulls it down and off. The royal blue shade stayed true to color as well.
Now when it rains, there are no worries. All I have to do is shake off the water beading on the cushion seats, and they are totally dry and ready to sit on.
I still have enough left to protect my canvas pup tent. I highly recommend this Scotchgard Heavy Duty Water Shield. It works exceptionally well. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
