    • A. AC adapter is needed if you don't wish to use 4 D batteries. The seat can be moved back and forth easily for short people. Umm no there is not an included iPod for music listening.

    • A. The adaptor is needed to use electricity. It also runs using 4 "D" batteries. Yes, the seat can be moved. I am short and find it easy to use. There is no iPod connection, but one could use an iPod while exercising. There is a place to put it.

    • A. We bought the AC adapter from Schwinn for $20 shipped. Otherwise, you need 4 "d" batteries to run the computer. It shows speed, RPM, calories burned, and has various programs to adjust the tension to simulate hills. I would highly recommend the bike. The seat does move back and forth easily. I am 5'11" and my wife is 5'4" and we can both use the bike comfortably in our respective seating positions. No iPod hook-up on this bike, unfortunately.

    • A. The console runs on batteries but it does have the option for an AC Adaptor (sold separately). This is the electical cord that plugs into the wall. Yes, the seat moves back and forth to fit people of most all heights. No, there is not an i-pod connection.

What we love - Product was very easy to assemble, parts were pre-sorted, one woman did set up alone in about 40 minutes. Bike operation is quiet and smooth. Bike is sleek and sturdy in design and sits in the corner of my living room. Using bike daily for a total of an hour each day. Before ordering I could not find the maximum weight limit - found that on paperwork in box - it's 275lbs. Two points that could be improved is the contrast of the display. The display is VERY difficult to read while riding the bike AND the fan (which I didn't realize was a feature) generates so little airflow that it's not worth using up the battery life. I did site to store pick up and the box arrived in excellent condition. Overall I LOVE the bike and would recommend.

Over-all, I am very happy with this bike. I compared it with several other similarly-priced bikes and this one was a clear winner. In this price range, most recumbent exercise bikes looked very cheaply made, and had manual resistance adjustment, rather than the digital controls on this model. The Schwinn A20 is whisper-quiet, so it is great to ride while watching TV. It feels stable when riding, though the frame flexed and bounced a little when my 220lb husband rode at a high resistance. It is easy to move (just lift the rear and roll it on the front wheels), takes up a relatively small footprint (compared to other recumbendts) and has quite a few nice features. The 2 complaints I have are 1) the fan is completely worthless. It is like a processor-cooling fan, and it emits a plastic smell when turned on. Don't waste your batteries with it. 2) the seat is not ergonomically shaped... just a flat board with padding on top, which makes my butt go a little numb after riding for a while. I'm thinking about getting a cushion to place on top. Otherwise, I am very happy with my purchase. The box it came in was smaller than I expected, fitting easily into the trunk of our sedan. We ordered it Site-To-Store to save on shipping and because I heard things are less likely to arrive damaged that way. It really takes 2 people to assemble because some steps require one heavy part to be held up while another heavy part is locked into place. I only needed my husband's help for a couple minutes of the assembly, though. This is a couple steps up from the most basic recumbents out there, but without paying a lot more. The electronic controls are easy to use once you read the very short instruction page in the manual. I like that you can use Quick Start and have it count up or one of the programs and set how many minutes you want it to last. There are no heart-rate-controlled programs on this model, but there is a heart-rate monitor, and you can adjust the resistance as you go, even within a preset program. Schwinn did a good job with this one.

We had been looking for a bike for a while. We really didn't know what was a good bike or bad since we had always owned a treadmill. We started researching the Schwinn and honestly bought it for the price. We figured that if we didn't like it, we had not invested a HUGE amount. Well, we got it put it together easily and quickly. Adjusted the seat and started peddling away. It is quiet, easy to use and the resistance is unbelievable. There is no way that you can not get a good workout on this bike. The seat is comfortable, granted it's not a La-Z-Boy but it's not suppose to be. Obviously the fan isn't worth the time to turn it on but we already had a little fan in out exercise room, which is what I suggest if you think you will want to use a fan. It doesn't eat up a lot of valuable floor space. It's not so heavy that you can't move it around and you can level it if you do move it. We just love it and it's really quite addicting. Once the time is up I usually reset it to start again.

I researched various bikes on the internet, and this seemed to be the best for the money. The bike arrived at my home quickly, about 4 days after ordering it and for only $0.97 shipping. It took me about an hour to assemble by myself. I used my cordless drill which helped move things along much more quickly. I am 250 pounds, and the bike feels very sturdy. The seat adjusts easily so both my wife and I can comfortably ride the bike. Once we found our comfortable positions we marked the spot with a small piece of tape on the side. There are about 10 seating positions. The programs are nice for some variation that simulates hills, etc., by adjusting the resistance. The palm pulse readers are handy and accurate and the bike is very quiet. The fan is a joke; about what I expected. We ordered the power adapter from Schwinn online for about $20 shipped. I wish they would just include that with the bike, but not a big deal. I would highly recommend doing this, as the batteries don't last long and are expensive to replace. While we've only had this bike for approximately a month, I think this is a great bike for the money and will serve us well for many years. Would recommend highly.

When I opened the box I didn't find any assembly instructions but it is a snap to assemble. Lay out your parts and it goes together in no time. It is very solid and doesn't feel unstable at all. I like the foot straps and the display is simple and has a nice feel about it. It lets you pick the length of your workout and has a nice array of workouts. The best thing is it is whisper quiet, I work out watching TV and it is great for it! It does not come with the A/C adapter so be ready to buy it also if you want it (runs on 4 D batteries otherwise). The fan isn't much to brag about but that's common on any equipment.
