Use while backpacking. Great filter. I use a plastic water bottle (Smart Water Bottles) to collect the water instead of the provided bag. I also replace the cap with a smart water flip cap. For backflushing I use the separately purchased Sawyer coupler instead of the syringe that comes in the package (less stuff to carry and I find the method much easier and effective). Remember to never let this ceramic filter freeze. In cold temps I carry in a jacket pocket while hiking and inside my sleeping bag at night to keep it warm.

Ideal for hiking, camping, hunting, fishing, emergency prep, or traveling abroad, Sawyer's Squeeze Water Filter ensures access to clean water in the backcountry or anywhere in the world. The Squeeze Filter also filters out 100% of microplastics. To use, simply fill up the reusable pouch (included on most models) at any water source, screw the filter onto the pouch, and drink directly from the filter or squeeze water into a water bottle. The Squeeze Filter is backed by a manufacturer's limited lifetime warranty. Sawyer individually tests each and every Squeeze Filter three times to performance standards before packaging. The Squeeze Filter comes in a range of models to fit your needs. The SP129 Personal System comes with two 32-ounce, BPA-free water pouches, while the SP131 Personal comes with three BPA-free water pouches (two 32-ounce, one 16-ounce) for more versatile water storage. The SP137 Hydration Kit includes inline adapters for hydration pack bladders (sold separately), plus one 16-ounce pouch and a straw for drinking directly from the source. Great for emergencies, backcountry treks with a large group, or overseas mission trips, the All-in-One System is fully loaded with a 32-ounce pouch, faucet adapter, and adapters for attaching the filter to a 5-gallon bucket (sold separately). The SP181 can create clean, filtered water for a group that can yield up to 540 gallons of clean water per day from any freshwater source. Ideal for boil alerts and emergency preparedness kits, the SP182 Faucet Adapter Kit is paired with a faucet adapter that easily connects to almost any household or outdoor faucet worldwide (pouch not included). Great water filter
Best filter ever.
This is the second one I get. The first one I have it for Huracán Maria evangelist that came to Puerto Rico, Samaritan Purse Organization. Was so good that last 1 year. the water tastes good. Tastes like river water. Take out the bleach of the water and even colors.
Good product, light weight, and easy to use.
Great system; we've had ours on several trips so far this year and it performs very well. Actually, we just bought a second one for my son. Some have said the bags are hard to fill if you have shallow water. True, but you can squeeze the bag sides inwards and get an acceptable result. There's definitely a technique to it. We back-flush and do the light bleach treatment prescribed by Sawyer after every trip, not just for long-term storage (they never really specify what constitutes "long-term"). After the treatment we just put everything in the mesh bag with openings down to dry out for the next trip.

Fast shipping. Used it on this years 7 day backpacking trip along the Sierra Crest. On trail, usually lunchtime, I use the squeeze bags. In camp I use a 1 gal. bag to gavity filter. Slowed a little the 4th day, but easily backflushed with Smart Water flip open sports bottle cap. No need to bring the surenge. Fellow backpackers have been using this for years w/ no problems.
Great Filter in a small package.
Great filter. This model has a much better flow rate than the mini - though both are great filters. This particular system/package has the attachments that allow the filter to be used in-line with a Hydration Reservoir/bag. Even if you don't use the attachments it still has everything you need to be able to filter water.
