This is a poor sofa and a miserable bed.

I live in a small studio condo and thought I'd kill two birds with one stone by getting this sofabed/futon. What a mistake! Assembly required drilling new holes because of poor alignment of the original ones. The upholstery is not as deeply tufted as it appears in the photo. After two weeks of use, the vinyl "Duraplush" looks saggy and baggy when the unit is configured as a sofa. The thin padding has flattened so every lump and bump of the structure can be painfully felt when it is used as a bed. The top and bottom frames form a punishingly hard spine in the center that is painful. If you to sleep scrunched to one side to avoid the spine, you feel the metal bar braces underneath the springs. This futon should have been standard equipment in every Medieval dungeon. The rack, the iron maiden, or this futon- what a tough choice!

    poor quality

Ive bought this couch less than a year ago and its very poor made. The filling is falling apart little by little since day one.

    Setup

The screws that were already screwed in where screwed in wrong and thrown together, took me an aditional 20 minutes to fix their mistakes.

    Nothing fit.

Nothing fit during construction. The faux leather bunches at the seat.

    Stylish and comfortable

I was surprised how comfortable this sofa is, especially when folded out into a bed. It makes a really nice addition to my small NYC apartment.

    Not bad

Looks nice. A little flimsy but not terrible. It was missing a screw but a trip to Home Depot fixed it.

    Received slightly different product

I ordered two of these and received two slightly different products. They were essentially the same specifications, but obviously Walmart had changed their supplier and co-mingled their inventory. One couch has more raised seams and the finish is slightly varied. It would have been too much of a hassle to exchange the product and we had no time to spare before needing to use them, so we will live with it. The construction is fine - we understood the caliber of the unit we were getting and it will suit our needs well enough for now.
