    So far so good

I've only had it hooked up for a lil over a week and so far so good...the features I tried was Netflix and YouTube and they played flawlessly (I forgot my vudu login info). This is my first blu-ray player and I don't have any blu-Ray discs as of yet but it plays my reg. Dvd's well. It is WiFi ready (built-in) but there's also a slot to connect an Ethernet wire as well as HDMI. So far I like it however I would have LOVED it if I could have downloaded more apps to it. Also the player hardly takes up any space at all.

SANYO Blu-Ray Disc / DVD Player Great Buy

I always wanted a Blu-Ray player and when I got my 4k 50" TV from Wal-Mart I bought this item as well. I was skeptical that the device would make my DVD's and Blu-Ray Disc look better and I was wrong to be this way. The first DVD I watched was "Predator 2" and I found the film on DVD was almost like a new movie. The colors were more vibrate and the sound through my stereo system was almost flawless As for the controls, the remote was easy to use and while I did not use the Wi-FI to stream in video or streaming services I found the option right way. The slim design of the player and the fact the item plays BD, Blu-Ray, and DVD made buying it a good purchase. I spent about $60.00 for the player and I think doing this was not a waste of money. I highly recommend this electronic device to those who are looking for a great picture at a great price for their 4k TV. I feel you will not be disappointed as I have not been left down with my buy. Excellent device for a fair price

This SANYO Blue Ray/DVD player is much smaller than my older DVD Player/Recorder. With it being smaller that allowed me to position it directly under my Hisense 55" TV system. The set up was very easy, it uses only one (1) HDMI cable **NOT INCLUDED in the box. Setting up the WIFI was also exceptionally easy. Rather than having it search for the WIFI signal I just entered modem information manually. It took less than 15 seconds to connect to the WIFI signal. I have had this product for just over a week and it has maintained the WIFI connection. The included apps for Netflix, VUDU and You Tube connected and have maintained the connection without any outage or distortion. I have had a problem with the remote. The remote is sluggish and does require pressing firmly. Still at times, the remote is frustrating. I will be contacting the SANYO company to replace the remote. Be sure to register this product on the SANYO site in order to get faster assistance with customer service. Overall I would recommend this product.

Good Value Idiot-Proof Set Up Low-budget remote

This Sanyo blu-ray disc player with wifi was idiot-proof to set up and get working right out of the box from an online purchase and USPS delivery. Following the quick start paper manual had me up and streaming from Netflix to TV in < 5 minutes. The only things keeping me from giving it 5 stars is 1) the relatively cheap remote, which came without 2 AAA batteries and the buttons require some hard pressure with good aim at the box and 2) the Sanyo box itself came via USPS, rattling loose in a Walmart box without any packing and a pressed in side! Luckily there was no apparent damage. To go from good to excellent please provide batteries and show a little care to prevent shipping damage.

    Blu-ray disk with wifi

I bought this Blu-ray disc player a couple weeks ago and I am very happy with it. It is very simple to set up. This unit connected to our local wifi with no difficulties, and also was easy to set up. I would recommend that you upgrade the firmware of the unit when you first set it up, as wifi functions such as Netflix and Vudu can be very jerky, and audio issues. Simply going to the set-up menu and clicking update firmware fixed everything.

    Nice unit for the money.

No this Sanyo/Funai machine is not exactly in the same league as a Samsung or LG player, but for the price it works great. No problem connecting to Wi-Fi, and the disc playback on both Blu-ray and standard DVD looks good. The remote is pretty tiny and has small buttons, but this is really my only complaint.
This only can stream three apps/channels. I need it to steam Spectrum TV, but it is not an option.

One for myself, one as a gift.

I purchased one for my sister for Christmas. I also purchased one for myself. It was easy to hook up, and connecting to wifi was simple. My tv is sitting in another room adjacent to the room with the wifi source, approximately 22 feet away. So far, working just fine with no problems. I haven't played a blu ray movie yet, but regular dvd's play fine.

OK model but has flaws w/remote

I was excited to buy my first WI-FI Blu ray player and Sanyo is a great brand but after hooking it up I found that the remote was substandard. For one the remote is small and hard to keep in my hand and the buttons are to soft and spongy and you really have to press hard on them to get them to work properly and also you have to aim it directly at the sensor on the blu ray player to work right. Also there is no display button on the remote to let you know how long a movie is which I find not acceptable. Since I just bought a Smart TV that streams automatically, I don't need this model blu ray player any longer. I'm buying a new one that has a bigger remote with solid buttons and that one that has a display button on it.
