SanDisk has always made excellent products.
i bought the SanDisk CZ60 64 GB USB Flash Drive to use to back up my personal files, documents, photos, videos, and some program data. I found it was much easier to copy to the flash drive than copy to DVD discs which is what I was taught years ago. The time involved was a fraction compared to copying to discs. Since I have used different SanDisk products in the past, I did not hesitate to buy this one.

Not Happy
I was quite happy with this drive when I got it. Soon after it went into write protect mode (read only). I can not write anything to it. I contacted the manufacturer and they said it does this to protect your data when there is a problem with the drive. It can't be fixed and I must return it to them for a replacement. The problem is that I have private banking information on it. I can't erase it. How can I send it back to them? I am stuck with a $50.00 64 gig flash drive that I can't write to. I am not sure why they can't make software to format it again. Don't buy it. Get another brand.

Good Product

I bought this Flash Drive to make a recovery/backup for our new Windows 10 machine. I bought the 64 GB size, because I was trying to use a smaller size and it would not work. This (64GB) worked perfectly. Probably a little bit of over kill on my part, but it was worth it to get the job done painlessly.

love these storage devices.

I use these for backup, storage for all my photos and files incase my computer or external hard drives crash. I have had external hard drives crash losing so many of my important files. So this Flash drive is another way to keep my stuff safe. As long as you keep this in a cool dry place it should last a very long time. I have at least 10 of them from 32GB to 128GB. I'm sure I will be buying more in the future

Convenient for backing up files

When my hard drive recently crashed (yes, I was JUST going to back it up), I decided to use SanDisks as my backup plan. They are small, relatively inexpensive, hold a lot of data, and don't have any cables to kink or loosen.

Does the Job

It's a flash drive...what's there to say? I do like the retractable connector feature. Other than that, I think it's comparable to any other of the same size.

Transferred Music Quickly!

I have only used it once but it handled 8500 songs easily. Wish I had gotten two or a larger one tho. lol

Ok, but provide numbers and LEDs

This flash drive works as intended. I don't use the lock-box feature and deleted it to get more of the 64gb. Two downsides with these models of SanDish flash drives. There's a million of the 64gb models and the specific serial number of the model should be printed somewhere on the drive. With so many models (nd prices) it's difficult to determine what you are paying for. FYI the serial number for this unit is SDCZ60-064G-AW46. It's printed in tiny print on the back of the wrapper. Get your magnifying glass. Second problem is that unlike the Cruzer models there's no LED to indicate that the drive is active or at rest. The LED is very useful if you are transferring large files, etc. It would seem SanDisk to include this useful feature.

Great for bootable Linux Mint 16 Mate system

High capacity flash drive. Will support a bootable Linux Mint 16 Mate version free operating system. Works best on USB 2. Although not listed, this flash drive works well with Linux, as well as Windows and Mac. Would recommend the drive to other users.

On it way down

The software that comes with it is a little quirky and it's formatted in FAT32;but once I made it so it could handle files larger than 4GB, it works like a champ.

2. Yes easily

3. On the bottom of flash drive is a hole in which one can attach a cord. It would depend upon the size of the key chain but I think it would fit. I use a length of ribbon tied to the bottom just to make it easier for me to find the drive.
by DeloresJean
4. Yes, but a lanyard around the neck might protect the flash drive better.

5. Yes it can.

6. Yes/No/Maybe so. Since the gap between the little plastic bar that the key chain will pass under is small (maybe 2mm), the chain would need to be small. As for a hard metal key ring, No, for 2 reasons: 1 - There is not enough clearance to get the ring around the little bar, unless the ring is little too. 2 - Even if you can get it threaded on, the bar is plastic and will probably break soon under the repeated force of your key ring against the bar when it's in your pocket, or even in your purse.

3. You have two options to load data. One is plug and play with no security software like the older products and for a secure vault which requires a password. Both can be used on the device at the same time.

4. This flash drive was a plug and play on my HP computer which is two years old.
