4K TV for a decent price

We purchased this TV on black Friday. We received it about a week later and it was well packaged, the TV was not cracked or scratched. I did not use the stand as we already had a wall mount on our wall we put it on. The TV is light and was easy to put on our wall mount. Upon setting it up I figured out that there were not aux out to hook up to my surround sound so I had to purchase an optical cord to connect my receiver to this TV, which was no big deal but if you use aux (red and white cables) to hook up your surround they will not work with this TV. The picture is good and very bright! There are a ton of advanced settings that you can mess with inside each setting menu. The speakers on the TV are good but I prefer surround sound over tv speakers. We are very happy with our purchase and have not had any problems so far :)

Works fantastic!!

Bought this TV as a mega upgrade from my first-gen LCD I've had for over 10yrs and I couldn't be happier.. The screen clarity is phenomenal..whether it's console gaming for movie streaming this thing is amazing. Definitely recommended for anyone looking to get 4K quality at an extremely reasonable price.

Excellent

Excellent picture quality. Bought it on Black Friday deal online, Walmart shipped it rightaway.

Good size and great picture!

Love how light this TV is and the clarity!

Excellent tv

This tv so far has been excellent. Great clarity, with beautiful colors. Single remote operates tv and Fios dvr. Easy remote connections, no entering of codes, just point it at the tv and select your cable provider. Download the smart view app and you can have a remote on your phone or tablet, and stream your photos and videos to the tv. Connect multiple devices, like a Bluetooth keyboard, DUALSHOCK game pad or USB game pad., USB flash drive or a hard drive. A keyboard is a must if surfing the web, as typing on the screen keyboard is slow do to having to move the cursor around with the remote. Watch Amazon prime, Netflix, Hulu, HBO NOW, , download apps, browse the internet.

Samsung 50KU6300

Black Friday 2016 online purchase. Beautiful picture. set up was easy , lightweight, a few Philips head screws for the stand, a couple of tries to find my Verizon WiFi router. Not a fan of the remote (too simplified), I prefer more buttons for quicker access to what I want to do. Sound is great. Useful built in apps , can remove the ones you don't like. Fits well in a room 14x12 on a stand. No printed owners manual, too bad there are a lot of fine tuning features that you will have to lookup online if you want to play around with the settings. TV manufacturers should also include their codes for 3Rd party remote set ups. $398.00 plus tax and $6.00 quicker shipping. Extended warranty 3yr.$29.95 Samsung 50" 4K.

First flat screen

This was my first flat screen tv and I don't really enjoy the process of discovery to figure out all the terminology and features that is required to make a responsible purchase that I will be most happy with in the long run. Still, the 'homework' always pays off so I muddled through and ordered this tv. I always make a point to read customer reviews because I think they are much more objective. I especially like being able to read any regrets they have so my hindsight is less regretful. I was afraid 50 inches would be too large for my viewing room. I nearly cancelled the order several times but Black Friday prices were too good to pass up so I bought the bigger choice. Now I can say, it was much easier to set up and start using, although I had help. The 'smart' aspects of the tv were a no brainer if you use a computer. It was much too bright so I lowered the brightness so it didn't hurt my eyes. The only recommendation I would make would be to invest in a sound bar with a subwoofer if you can afford it. Great marketing.........the sound of the ultra HD smart tv picture kind of sucks. Then I bought a blu ray player so the total HD experience would suggest a bit more investment then just the tv itself. I would buy this tv again. Time will tell if it lasts.

Nice Television

Good television for the price, it needs a software upgrade, not sure what extra options that would give it. Picture looks good straight on but not that good from the side angle, it lightens too much from the glare. DVD movies look great on it, if they have a Blu-ray DVD UHD 2160p then get one to really enjoy the UHD since no station broadcasts that resolution yet. My DVD player is just a 1080i and 1080p upconversion, it's not Blu-ray but DVDs look great on it, love the size, not too big or too small. This is actually my first flat screen TV that I bought for myself, i had a Samsung HD picture picture tube TV that had a great picture IMO, was only 1080i at its max, the speakers are okay, they don't thump like my picture tube one but it's loud enough. I'm happy with it so far, paid $506 total and they delivered one day ahead of schedule, I think i got a good deal and well enjoy it, watching movies and sports on it is nice. Christmas gift to myself.

Samsung 50" Smart TV

After a month of owning this Samsung 50" Smart TV I have the following remarks. The picture is beautiful, but you need to tweak the options for the brightness and color you desire. I took a point off because I found the audio options to be very difficult to work with. I wanted to hookup a surround sound system, but because it does not have any of the older audio out hookups and only provides an optical audio and bluetooth it meant I was only able to use a sound bar with bluetooth. Samsung also made it where you can only use Samsung accessories, such as soundbars. I still love the TV, but it is a shame they limited the audio options.

Almost a Five

Nice picture and sound. We're not inclined to use the wifi features, so they just add complexity (and I imagine cost). When starting it up for the fist time, it had a thin white vertical line in the center of the screen. So I immediately called Samsung to let them know. Took a while to get through the computerized phone "receptionist" and to a service agent who had a very heavy accent, so I had a little trouble understanding. After going through all the routine diagnostic steps I was told all that could be done was to schedule a service technician to visit, which also can be done online. The TV wasn't 5 minutes old yet; I thought they'd have me take it to the store for an exchange or send it back for a replacement. So I said I'd think about it and call back. Thought I'd talk to Walmart first to see what they might do (Amazon would have immediately sent a replacement). Well, when I went back to the room it was in, everyone said the line disappeared! So now we're very happy. We'll see if it holds up as well as the 12 year old Samsung tv it replaced.

1. No. The set does not utilize a Roku USB stick, or built in Roku. However, it does have Smart functionality (Smart Channel) which supports built in applications such as Netflix, Amazon Television, Time Warner Cable HD interaction/control, YouTube, Hulu, and a web browser. So much of the same type of functionality found in a Roku is present in this TV, but it is not provided by a Roku hardware platform (stick, builtin), it is provided by the "Smart" platform. The Roku tends to have more higher quality and more frequent software updates.

2. Yes you can connect headphones for private listening.

3. No. But it does connect via wi-fi or ethernet cable. The Roku stick is much easier to use. I have both and Roku gives you WatchESPN.

5. NO- Roku is an ad on using one of the HDMI connections. I am using a Roku3 and it works great, the Roku remote has an earphone jack. Both for the TV and Roku high speed internet is a must or you will see buffering many times when watching shows

2. I had to buy one as I believe that the HDMI cable included was NOT 4K compatible (18 Gbps bandwidth). Without a 4K compatible HDMI cable you will not be able to see content in 2160p, only in 1080p. However, you can still use a regular HDMI cable in order to view content at 1080p (such as movies and cable programming). I purchased the Rocketfish 4k UltraHD HDMI cable, and it works great with the Samsung 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Disc Player. Hope this helped.

3. This has 3 HDMI ports.
