I love this little burner! I received it, installed it quickly without a hitch and proceeded to burn 100 DVDs in a little over a weeks time. It did the job flawlessly. The cord could be a little longer but I have no right to complain for the price! Of course I dont know how long it will last, but am very happy with it as of now. If you need an external DVD burner i highly recommend this little baby!

This is my first experience with an external CD Drive. I purchased it to use with a Net Book that I have just recently bought from Walmart. It works perfectly so far. I have used it to download some programs to my new Net Book and so far so good. I have not used it for anything else , so that's all I can comment on. You just plug it into the USB ports (it requres two ports) and use it just like you would an internal drive. The Net Book recognized it and then you insert you CD and proceed.

Simple to install and use. Great buy for the money. It's not fast when rewriting to a disk but you get what you pay for. The Samsung brand has always been a good quality brand for the value.

Bought this for my daughters netbook, she uses it every day for down loading. If it can hold up to her then I would have to say this is one great DVD-RW, knowing my daughter it should have only lasted a week at the most. thanks walmart for the great price and samsung for the great product

didn't burn dvd media without error

maybe I received a lemon, however this drive didn't burn any dvd media without a verification error. None of the dvd's I burned were able to be played on a dvd player or my computer. I upgraded the firmware, still no luck. I tried a simple data disc, didn't work either. It burned the files/images to disk but could not be read. I tried it on 3 different machines as well, and went through 10 disks. It did burn a cd with no issues. I am returning it today

I think this was a good buy not to many problems other than two usb hookup for it to run at max power but all and all worth the money
