Great Tablet

Pro's: Great tablet, not to big and not to small, I would have liked it to have built in s-pen as all tablets should have. I use primary for reading and studying the bible, but this tab has the power behind it handle anything you use it for. Can add micro so card for extra storage. Con's: It's expensive, but worth it if you can justify the cost. Has a lot of bloatware (advertising apps) that you will never use taking up space and resources. If removing bloatware, it will affect performance. Overall I'm glad I purchased the tablet, the con's aren't enough to keep you from buying.

Ipad Mini killer

I used to have an iPad mini and I been wanting to get an android device strong enough with a sharp imagine and light design that will convince me to speed the money this device did it all lighting fast and buttery smooth sleek design that packs a kick the screen is amazing the color saturation and the colors is way better of an iPad mini battery life is really good out of the box I had 54% battery life I did my set up and update and installed all of my apps and the tablet died after 5 hours (playing games and watching Netflix and you tube ) the tablet is pretty light and the charging port is still micro USB but it charges really fast fully charged in less then 3 hours this product is a must looks like Samsung did it again there is no android tablet on the market right now that come even close if you r reading this stop and go to your local best buy and check it out they have the Samsung both over there and they got all the models note that the tablet on display at best buy got a demo loop that is slowing doing the tablet a lot out of the box it's blazing fast

Nice lightweight tablet with a major flaw in speaker placement.

I purchased this tablet for my wife. It is her second Samsung tablet. She gave hers to one of her sisters. I would not purchase a tablet with two speakers placed on the same side. I am astonished that many do not mention this. This is a deal breaker for me. However the fact that my wife did not care about this design flaw tells me that much why samsung decided to go with a regressive design. I have a nexus seven, second generation, withe surround sound feature and speakers on left and right, that separate the sound and gives a nice spacial dimension. Yes the samsung also has a surround sound feature which in my opinion is useless, due to both speakers firing from the same side. Otherwise, nice tablet like the larger screen, yes it's not as solid feeling as an asus nexus, but it's probably needed on larger screen with gorilla glass.

Samsung has the tablet game in the bag

The tab 3 truly is a great product. It's price is reasonable when compared to other high-end tablets, but what sets it aside from the rest are the features and display quality exclusive to samsung. As far as features, having two apps on screen at the same time is great for school, allowing the user to have a note application running alongside a web browser for clarification of terms used in say a lecture, if needed. Moreover the tablet is a beast as far as processing goes. In map applications the rate at which the device renders locations and even 3D cities surpasses anything short of a desktop, especially with power saving mode turned off. Furthermore, the display alone is an outstanding piece of hardware. After using it, trying to go back to my phone screen was depressing; the pixel density of this thing is unreal and if you couple that with the way samsung makes colors pop everything else becomes obsolete. My only complaint with this product is the button placement. When being held in landscape orientation hitting the volume or lock buttons happens far too frequently making for a frustrating experience while watching videos but all in all, I feel strongly that this is the best tablet in its respective field of the market.

Fantastic tablet

I have used several Samsung products. My wife and I have Samsung phones, so I am somewhat of a fanboy. That being said, this tablet is by far the most beautiful and fluid tablet I've used. I have a Nexus 10, which is great as well, but can be a bit bulky to use. I loved the Note 8.0 but the screen resolution wasn't the best. To me, the Tab Pro 8.4 has combined the best of both of those tablets. Great size for portability and beyond compare screen resolution for media consumption. I firmly believe this tablet is worth the price for all the features and perks you receive. If you are in the market for a tablet, this is the one to get, no question. Thanks Samsung, you hit this one out of the park.

A great small tablet

The Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 is a marvel of a tablet It has a very comfortable and beautiful design. Its display is a mighty 2560*1600 resolution which is pin sharp, and has great saturation, viewing angles, and colors that pop. Performance is excellent with little to no lag thanks to the new Android Kitkat with Touxhwiz and the beastly Snapdragon 800 under the hood clocked at 2.3 ghz with 2 gb of ram. Camera quality is good for a tablet like this (but you wont be using it much). The Magazine UX is very interesting as it keeps all your social feeeds in one place. Battery Life is decent .It can easily get you through the day and more.I would definately recomment this tablet for anyone.

Awesome Tablet

I bought this tablet to replace my old Toshiba. I love this tablet because I have the Galaxy S5 phone and they sync together flawlessly. This tablet is the perfect size to put in my cargo pocket. It's screen is perfect for a smaller tablet and the operating system is extremely fast. If you're looking for something less than the 10 inch tablets and cheaper than the iPad, then this is the perfect tablet.

Great portability, missing features

This tablet is great. It's mostly everything you could want. For some reason it's missing the ability to download some apps. Uber and Lyft particularly. It's maybe missing a Digital Compass is my guess. iPad has it in their tablets... Some of you may be thinking you don't need it; but most smartphones today (depending on your data plan) have Hot Spotting/Tethering and since I have different devices options come in handy. Other than that it's mostly what a basic user could need. The battery drain is astonishing when using it consistently. Since I am a power user keeping it plugged in is advised. But it's not a hassle for me, but some users may find it a turn off.

Galaxy Tab 8.4 Review

I love the screen and performance. They're simply great. I strongly dislike the physical buttons on the portrait bottom of the screen. My prior Samsung tablet (a GT 7.7) had the buttons on the bottom of the screen. The advantage of this method is that the buttons are always in the same place; portrait or landscape. This makes the tab much easier to use IMO. I know I'll get used to this layout but it's pretty obviously inferior to the on-screen buttons. I own, or have owned, four tablets and a number of other mobile devices so my bad reaction isn't just to a change but the ergonomics of the button placement based on a fair amount of hands-on experience.

Excellent Device!

The Samsung Galaxy Pro 8.4 is a amazing device. In my opinion I believe that this is the perfect screen size VS the 10.1 or the 12.2 inch versions. If you want a tablet with power then look no further as this tablet beats all other devices on benchmark tests! Yes, this is a expensive tablet but it is worth the money. The only con I have is that this tablet has a plastic outer shell (it still looks very nice). If you are hesitating about buying this device, don't. It was well worth the price!
