How can we know if you dont tell us what TV you have? In general, older TVs had composit and occasionally component outputs or VGA (which in fact I am here searching for) . This does unit not support that. If you have computer monitor for TV, it likely has VGA and this does not support that either. Adapters work &quot;sometimes&quot; but are not worth the problems as working ones cost nearly as much as a new TV ($199 for 40&quot; I bought last year at Micro Center).

Although this unit is "bare bones" with no indicator light to let you know if you turned it on, it doesn't really need it. I paired it to a Samsung TV and the unit immediately communicated and goes straight to the Blu-ray unit and movie when disc is inserted. When done the remote already has the source selection and on/off for the TV and being it is a Samsung TV it worked right out of the box!

Almost too simple

I can't get over this Blu-Ray player, Especially at this price! I don't stream anything with it, but it's over all performance of playing back Blu-Rays or DVDs are impeccable! I purchased it last August. It hasn't given me any problems and I've played it a lot. I really can' discern any real difference between the playback quality(both audio and video) of Blu-Ray or DVD Discs. It really up scales DVD Discs to were they have Blu-Ray Quality and I certainly would notice a difference if there was a difference between the two! I personally don't mind the fact that it doesn't have an on/off led indicator light. I get around that by turning it on when I have the TV on and have the HDMI port that pertains to the Blu-Ray player, and shut it off by stopping it at the end of the movie and then pushing the power on/off button to off. I know that your 4K Blu-Ray Player got Top Picks by Sound And vision Magazine! If the Blu-Ray player I have is any indicator it is no wonder that it did ! Keep up the good work Samsung.

I cannot believe the piece of trash this equipment is, additionally, the price is exorbitant, then one must purchase all the additional cable to hook it up! It is ridiculous for the Samsung's reasoning to this was that no other manufacturer provides them, therefore they also do not; also this was their reasoning for NOT putting this information on the box so that BEFORE leaving the store might purchase the required items so as to make the Blu-Ray player useful to them when they get it home!!
