Samsung won't honor its warranty.

My UN65F7100, manufactured in Sept. 2013 and received Oct. 26 has two light-colored, thumb-sized dead spots in the center of the screen (they look similar to pressure points) about six inches down from the top and 10 inches apart. These spots show up on all lighter-colored scenes and especially when there is movement in the video (a pan). If you're at all experienced with video production or are into picture quality, the light spots will be all you see. If you go to Samsung's website and look at reviews for the 7100 series, you'll see another reviewer had the same problem and includes a photo of the dead spot. The last three weeks, I've spent hours on the phone with Samsung and the "Executive Customer Relations" department seeking a remedy. While the local TV technician they sent to photograph/document the problem and Samsung's ECR customer service reps agree the spots don't appear to be within specification, I'm told the Panel Evaluation Department has looked at the photos and determined the white spots are "within factory specs." Samsung is refusing to fix this manufacturing defect (they said I would have to pay for a new 65" panel). For years, I've been an enthusiastic Samsung customer, but this experience has been horrible. If Samsung won't honor its warranty and correct a manufacturing defect on a big-ticket item, I would suggest you'd be wise to look to other TV manufacturers...ones willing to stand behind their products.

I am averaging a new HDTV every 18-24 months in the past 5 years or so, and this time I upgraded to this from a Samsung 58" Plasma HDTV with network capabilities. I loved that TV. It was a pure joy to use and watch movies and sporting event or play games. But the new 65" SmartTV 7100 has just surpassed everything in my previous model, no contest. The image is so sharp, it actually take a bit of time getting used to. So realistic.And the 3D and Smart Application and integration with the TV just makes the need for pretty much all other devices, unnecessary. You can play Netflix, etc. Games, weather, news, browser and it learns your watching pattern and makes recommendations based on the upcoming shows on TV/Cable. I have added a Bose sound system via optical connection, a Samsung BlueRay 3D player, and the XBOX One. So, all I have been doing is entertaining friends for movie nights and game sessions.

The picture quality is so impressive especially when using Netflix. You feel as if you are in the picture or sitting in the front row of a play. Although I didn't buy this model for 3D, I was super impressed when watching Aviator. The WOW factor is unbelievable. The only drawbacks are the navigation & remote. They are too complicated. There are so many features, I find it hard to get back to the main menu and just watch TV. At times when I turn the TV on, the home page is shown and I can't get out of it. It drives me crazy. The remote does so many things that it is not user friendly or intuitive. I love the picture and would buy this model again, but I would ask for better instructions on how to use the remote & nav. features.

I now have had 6 Samsung TV. Still have 3 the 3 others i sold or gave away, they were all still working great. The picture surpasses any i have seen on other brands. I have a Samsung Note 3 that i use as a remote. This TV a a great feat of engineering, it is so thin and light and packed full of features. I will be add a new TV next week. I will be replacing another brand installed in my Motorhome with a new 32 inch Samsung. Once you go accustom to the picture on a Samsung nothing else will do. J Hall

This TV is absolutely awesome! The picture is amazing, it may take a few minor adjustments to get it to your liking, but once you do get ready for a treat. The TV is very light and set up is a breeze. I love the smart touch remote and the new way to control my TV. The smart hub is awesome and very easy to navigate. 3D Is unbelievable! I would highly recommend this TV to anyone looking for a smart TV with awesome picture and sound. Samsung is by far the best manufacturer of electronics and appliances.

I love the design of the 7100 HDTV series, but the usability is sorely lacking. When I turn on the TV, I want a TV program to grace the screen. However, if the TV was shutdown while using any of the smart apps, it starts up defaulted to the antenna as the source. I don't have an antenna, so this beautiful 65" TV displays 65 inches of snow. I have to use the remote that came with the TV to switch the source over to an HDMI input so I can watch TV. This is their idea of a "Smart TV"? Very disappointing!

After much thought and research we settled on this T.V. I had sworn for years that I wouldn't buy a 3d t.v. until we no longer had to wear those horrible glasses to watch. We had been looking for a new t.v. because our 60in big screen had to have a lamp changed about every 1.5yr because I have it on almost 24/7. We knew we wanted Led, and larger than what we had. I wanted 70- 80 inch, which I could find plenty of for the price we wanted but after comparing many I settled with 65 Samsung. It's refresh rate is the highest, the color and sound are great. But so many now have 3D so we tried that on 3 diff models and then this one with the powered glass surpassed them all and changed my mind. We also do not have cable/ Sat, instead we get all tv off Antenna and record through our computer which it makes that picture even more beautiful, but now if I want to watch Netflix , Hulu etc, I dont have to have the pc on , I love having apps that I can access right off the tv. and access my phones photo"s, as a photographer I send my camera's photo's to my phone and now I can look for flaws on my big screen without any hassel so I don"t miss a thing. With the voice recognition I can do things on the tv without using my hands which helps my carpool tunnel syndrome I only wish this tv came with the motion control camera and a one time color tune up. also I recently put most of our dvds on a hard drive I can plug directly to the tv and watch my library I don't think you can go wrong with picking this t.v.

I bought this TV about two months ago .replaced a Samsung 6187s I bought about 7 years ago. This TV has the sharpest picture I have ever seen period .I am still amazed at the picture today.I have another 6000 series TV in the house and I thought that picture was good till I bought this 7000 series TV. Just an amazing picture, I love it . all the other bells and whistles this TV comes with are just great. I am tech guy so TV is perfect for me.

I looked for a 3D tv for quite awhile. This tv is everything I could ask for. The picture quality is excellent, bright colors and deep blacks. The active 3D is more emersive than passive 3D. The depth of the 3D picture us better than going to a theater. The included 3D glasses work very well, I recommend investing in rechargeable glasses (they're more sturdy). I highly recommend this set of you are looking for a good 3D tv.

You have to use thr remote to control this TV. Lost the remote? Sorry. If u download the remote control app on your phone, then you can control it once it is turned on...but if u lose your remote then no TV for u. It also can't figure out which source I want even when only one source is givimg the tv signal. A bunch of stupid defaults you have to click through stuff every time u turn it on.
