FINALLY, SOMETHING OTHER THAN DRUGS FOR MY PAIN.
I use these on an ankle which will start hurting toward evening and usually keeps me awake half of the night. These stop the pain almost immediately and I am good till the next evening. Feels so good to get a good nights sleep. I intend to order some more.

small patches are different and not as good
i had bought the large size patches at a local store and i liked them - then i ordered several boxes of the smaller size ( not realizing more than the size would change ) i dont like the smaller size patches they are made from a different material compared with the larger size patches . the small size are uncomfortable because of too much adhesive and even the material is harder and more uncomfortable .

Great for OTC product

I have been using these patches for years. I have tried a few other ones. Nothing else worked, like these. I have them on right now. They do not have a strong oder and if in pain you could wear them out. I use them on my back my knees just anywhere there is pain and they really help the arthritis, strained muscles etc. I have used them when my foot was broken and also, put on my forehead for migraines. You just do not need to leave them on overnight or they will leave a red patch, but sometimes, I do! I just wished they made them in a bigger value pack. This is a great product for us older people, if we had known we was going to live this long would have taken better care of ourselves. So, since that did not happen at least there is something that really works. Or for anyone just trying to maintain pain. This is so much better than the greasy rubs that smell bad and do not even work. As far as appearance, they are what they are and who cares if they work.

Great patches

I like these patches because they are small enough to put anywhere and they'll stay on. The larger patches I've used (not this brand) did not stay on well when you are moving around especially if it is a part of the body that moves when you walk. These are such a good buy that you can just stick several on all over the sore place and they'll stay just fine. I've ordered more as my muscle strain on my legs is slow healing and I always want to have some of these on hand. Great for that sciatic spot on your lower back.

great relief

I have an extremely painful shoulder , bicep and tricep. These small patches are perfect for attaching to the sore spots and getting some much needed relief. I use them every night.

Works fantastically well.

This is the best pain patch I've ever used. I have sciatic pain occasionally, but when i place patches where i hurt the most, my pain is usually gone within 15 to 20 minutes. It's great with muscle pain, almost anywhere you hurt (please follow directions carefully). I've told many people about this product. It's less than $4.00 where i live (40 patches). Try it, I'm sure you will like it. : )

1. You peel the green plastic off the back of the patch and stick it on. It works up to 8 hours. (one warning, don't forget and get in the shower with one on, it will burn. you don't get an actual burn, just the burning sensation. also, if your skin is sweaty, wipe it off with a damp paper towel, and dry it really well so that the patch sticks.)

2. peel them off & apply, there are one on one side and one on the other side!
by MaMitchell
3. Peel them off the little tabs like you do a postage stamp , and apply them on the area that hurts . Clean and dry it must be , If there is hair on the area , it will affect how good they hold , they will pull some hair when you take them off so be prepared for that , but they do help . Both my dad and myself use them on painfull knees with some relief ....

4. Easily peel off from backing and place them where you hurt. Nothing to it.

5. Hello, After you open the box you will see 2 green sleeves with 20 patches each. You open one and pull out one piece which has 2 patches sandwiched by a green waxy paper. Remove one patch (being careful not to connect it to itself) and apply it to area of pain. It's easier if you have someone help you. I recommend at least 2 patches near each other for better effect. Enjoy. ;-)

6. peal off from backing and use sticky side on your skin.

7. Just peal them off the paper and place the sticky side on your cleaned skin.

1. yes, just do not leave on too long! The most they would do is make it red! I have & do sleep with them on.
by MaMitchell
2. the large patch was fine , the smaller patches / adhesive irritated my skin
by propain2
3. For pain

4. These are ony $4.00 bucks for a box . I applied one to see the affects at first . I didnt want to smell it or have it burn.I dont have sensative skin but a do notice a BIT of irritation on the area I apply them,BUT its barely bothersom, and I do use them several timesa a day. . I dont know how senasative your skin is , but these dont burn or or have a strong annoying odor. They will pull a bit of hair when you take them off because of the adhesive , that may cause more irritation than the medicine in the pads, so that may have a bit of uncomfortable to it , just one quick tug and its over , about the same as a bandaid .They do help the pain , that I will give it! ......

5. I would cut off a small corner and check first... it can cause a rash if over used.
by catok
6. Read directions and if you don't comprehend the instructions, ask your physician. Good Luck !!!!!
by GalaGal
7. I'm not a dermatologist, but after using Salonpas for 20 years, I haven't lost any skin and I have never felt any discomfort. I install drywll for a living and I am now 62 years old and I work alone so as to the effectiveness of this product, you be the judge. Hope this answers your question. By the way, I only use the small patches that do NOT get hot.

1. IT`S DEPEND OF THE AREA YOU APPLY THE LARGE SIZE YOU CAN CUT IN SMALLER SIZES
by redish92
2. I'd use one for each spot I want to target. Non-messy. Inexpensive. Buy the boxes of 40 for $3.88. Have you tried a Tens unit? http://www.walmart.com/search/?query=tens%20unit%20icy%20hot
by JanaSL
3. not really. you can stick 3-4 of the smaller ones on and put them close together as you like or skip a spot. I ran 3 up my lower back and one sideways for the broader area. I think the smaller ones are easier to control.. not have the sticky back stick to itself when trying to apply it, especially if you don't have help.
by Burntme
4. Possibly. I use several of the small patches. I found the large ones are VERY STICKY and I could not reach around my body to place it where Ineeded it without the ends sticking together. They won't 'unstick'. I would suggest that you get someone to place the patch on your lower back if possible if you chose the larger ones.
by jwinn
5. Not really. Just use two small ones, or three. Large patches are more expensive.
by eddie
6. I don't use the larger size, I just put several of these side by side if the area of pain is wider. I push on the area until I think I have found the spot where the pain is starting from, and I put a patch on that spot. Then, if I feel it is radiating down a cord or nerve, I put more patches in a row, trying to cover the affected pain area. (like lower back sciatia, or neck pain that goes down to the shoulder). The smaller ones work great on my thumb area. My Dad uses the larger patches for his back and knees, and he also uses the smaller ones for different areas. These work for me. Not sure they would work for everyone. Hope this helped.
