People please remember that some stores or nail salons keep nail polishes on their shelves over their expiration date. Makeup and nail polishes should be thrown away after a year of sitting around like that. Hence why your product didn’t work well. It is thin but it’s better than being thick. A wider brush would help with thin polish and I suggest Sally Hansen create that if it’s thin polish. I’m on my second plus day and have not had any chips as of yet. I will write a second review in 7-10 days max. There are no bubbles nor streaks and my polish job I did looks amazing. I love this color I may add! Love your prices. Peace and love Jody

Nice color, but soft and not hard as nails (yet)

Yesterday I bought **SH HaN XW #s 299, 330, and 360, to get away from my usual **SH HaN black, and put on some Rasta colors. Well, I might be missing something, because I had to remove and reapply about a dozen times on this finger or that, due to rubs, or impressions, when by all appearences they appeared dry. I wasn't applying it too thickly, in fact, I used multiple thin coats (helps to have automotive finish experience) I preceded color application with SH Ultimate Shield Base and Top Coat, and top-coated with the same. I intend to keep using these colors and base/top, however I'm going to play around with different combos, including SH HaN #800 (as a base and top) with XW, and the Ultimate Shield with regular HaN paints. Because, science! I gotta say, I do love these colors, they're bangin'! (I never in my life thought I'd see red on my fingernails) We'll see, after a few more hours, how well this cures. I wish we could get a general idea of how long HaN XW takes to dry. I know it will depend on ambient air conditions, cool water dips, etc. It's 71F and 57%RH indoors in my painting area (living room/office/bedroom/dining room--its an RV, lol) A general idea would be nice, though! Would ultraviolet light help? I can go outside, it's a beautiful day here south Florida. I've included photos of my artwork, so I welcome constructive criticism, if this site permits replies to reviews. If it makes a difference to anyone (I don't really care), I'm a straight, non-cross-dressing man in my early 30s, who got tired of painting cars and canvas. Thanks! **SH-Sally Hansen **HaN-Hard as Nails **HaN XW-Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear

Affordable polish that works well.

I use Hard as Nails clear polish for a base and top coat. This nail polish line is affordable and it works well. Here I used Pucker Up as my primary color. It's a very pretty vibrant red that would look great on ALL skin tones. I usually only wear read from October to February. Then my accent nail is Celeb City. It's more of a chrome looking silver. I use polish all the time to keep my nails strong. Even if I don't use any color I will still use the clear polish. Using the clear as a base coat keeps my natural nail from turning yellow. This is the only polish I use.

The color when it's in the bottle is gorgeous; has so much sparkle and color to it.. but when you put it on it's opaque with barely any sparkle.. my nails looked like they were just stained slightly teal. I had to put on at least 5 coats until I got the shade and sparkle as it appears when looking at the bottle. I went to wash my hands an hour or two later and it came right off. I had this product before in the pink sparkle color and I only had to do two coats of that and it was a completely different feeling when you touched your nail.. it felt textured. It stayed on great.. in fact it was impossible to get off (which is great - no chipping!). I was expecting the same with this teal sparkle color but instead it felt smooth to the touch. So I'm not sure if the formula was changed or what but I definitely wasted my money on this product. Normally I love your products.. very disappointed with this one. The picture attached to this review shows how much I had to use to get the look as it appears when looking at the bottle (used one time only)

Great products deserve 5 star reviews

After going on a hunt for the "gunmetal" polish and being unsuccessful at finding it I tried about 4 other brands to find the shade of grey I wanted.... never again. I didn't realize how great Sally Hansen was until I wasted all the money and time on the other brands. With those my nails never seemed to dry no matter how long I waited, and one even stained my fingers when I tried to remove it. I decided to just go with another color and I will never buy another brand again. As a mother of 3 Sally Hansen is the only brand that can offer me a low price, quick dry, and long lasting look. P.S. I found my "gunmetal" polish after buying 3 more of your shades but I'm loving the new color I chose " 322: Dabbler" !
