Not much to say because it was so worry free. I originally thought that a line-out converter would cause a hum or buzz or something, but this works exactly like you need without all that nasty stuff. It was hooked up and working in minutes, it was so easy. I love playing with the bass control. :-)

Already broke
Maybe I would recomend to a friend, maybe not. Reason being it works well enough and was an easy instal yet when time to adjust the levels the nobs both broke making it difficult to turn.

Works great. Installed in a friends BMW X5. The amplifier in the bmw is in the trunk and wss easy to insyall and wire. Must be powered to work properly. The bass knob is convenient and functional. Eill be using this product again.

We are glad to hear that you are enjoying your new Scosche product. Thank you for taking an interest in our products and our company.

Great product.

This was an email to me From Scosche Industries that I want to share. My question to Scosche was do you need to hook up the power and ground if you are not using the remote amp turn on wire. This is the response. If you are not using the remote output power from the LOC2SL, you do not need to hook up the adapter to power or ground. Constant power and ground are required in order to provide accessory power or remote power to the amp. There is an internal switch within that allows the constant power to switch on & off.

We are glad to hear you are enjoying your new Scosche product and getting good use out of it. Thank you for taking an interest in our products and our company. We appreciate the positive feedback. Enjoy your tunes!

Not bad.

Upon looking into installing an amp and subwoofer in my 2004 Mazda 6, I found out the kit that allows me to use a aftermarket head unit retails for around 200 bucks. I did alot of looking around...and couldn't find a cheaper price at all. Being irritated as I was...I turned to a speaker level to low pass converter. That's where this little gizmo came in. The price was right (obviously. .when compared to the other thing). Plus it had a remote bass know which was a buying point for me. After reading some reveiws...I bought it. I got it home and drug out my old equipment (1,250 watt class D Planet Audio mono amp and a 15" Earthquake subwoofer). Once everything was mounted and wired...I was good to go. While it doesn't sound as good as a after market headunit, I'm still impressed. I'd recommend this item for anyone who wants to add some bass but doesnt want to get a new headunit...or if they ran into the same issue I did (200 dollar dash kit).

We are glad to hear you are enjoying your Scosche LOC2SL. Thank you for taking an interest in our products and our company. Enjoy your tunes!

Great little unit!

My only complaint is that more locations need to stock this unit.... With the remote bass control, auto on for the amp, and ease of installation, it can't be beat at any price. Throw that little 300 watt 10" Dual subwoofer unit into the mix for under $100, and even a picky audiophile finds it hard to complain about the end results you will achieve when wanting to kick any factory sound system up!

We are happy to hear you are enjoying your new system and that the Scosche Line-Out Converter is working great for you. Enjoy your tunes, and thank you for taking an interest in our products and our company.

2. All answers can be verified at The12volt.com. This converter will get hooked to the speaker wires coming off the radio or factory amp. If need be, simply Y a connection to gain a signal into this converter. Some factory decks will provide a full spectrum signal on the front speakers only. If your car has a full spectrum signal to the back speakers, it may be easier to gain a signal from them in the trunk or rear area of the car. (Your amp is probably going to be back there anyways). Plus, this thing works best when powered. THE POWER (YELLOW WIRE) AND GROUND (BLACK WIRE) MUST BE HOOKED UP. Otherwise, as Scosche has told me, it may not work well. This LOC also has a amp turn on wire which makes it convenient. (Controls the amp) The other cool thing is, (if hooked to a factory amplifier), this LOC can handle up to 80 watts per channel. From there, the output going to the RCA's, can be matched to the system; with the bass knob plugged in, the listener up front can control the volume of the converter. Make it louder on "classic" or turn it down for more bass heavy music. I trust this helps

3. Included in the box, the 4 wires (2 gray and 2 white) gey hooked to the output wires of your radio. The unit must be powered with the red and black. The blue wire with the white stripe is used to turn on your amp. Mount the unit, and plug in the bass knob, turn to 3/4 volume and set the gains on the output.

1. The LOC2SL does not limit or effect the size of the amplifier you can install. The size of the amp would depend on how many sub woofers you are installing and what the power rating of the sub woofers are. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact Scosche Technical Support directly at 800 363 4490 x3 or techsupport@scosche.com.

2. This should work fine if you are keeping the stock head unit. Make sure to look up the wiring specific for your vehicle before connecting wires. Not all stock stereos use the same universal colors for speaker outputs like aftermarket head units do. So yes it should work, just verify your wiring before making any connections.
