I bought 2 of these SSDs - one for my PS5 and one for my Android phone and Windows PC. The SSD works perfectly with all my devices. With my PS5 I am able to play PS4 games from it directly, and store PS5 games I don't have space for on the console memory. Speeds are great, no long transfer times or errors.

This review is for the Samsung T7 Portable SSD with hard drive capacity of 1TB and the titan gray color. I bought it at Walmart.com and it was sold and shipped by Newegg Inc. The price at Walmart.com was comparable to all the other outlets that sell the exact same product. The product arrived a few days early and was carefully packed. The drive measures 3 5/16" L x 2 3/16" W x 1/4" H. It is compact and feels sturdy and well-built. It includes two connector cables – one USB C to USB A cable for use with PCs and laptops and one USB C to USB C cable for use with smart phones. The cable for both measures 18" L. It would have been nicer to have a longer cable but perhaps that would decrease read/write times. The drive includes the Samsung Magician app that provides performance optimization, diagnostic scanning, security, encryption, secure erase and firmware updates. This Samsung SSD includes Dynamic Thermal Guard that is an advanced thermal solution to enable the drive to withstand and control heat, so the portable SSD stays at an optimal temperature. I will have to see over time how effective this is, but so far so good. Overall, I give this portable SSD a favorable "BUY" recommendation.

Mighty Little Device

My tech guy suggested this for my new computer as I store a lot of jpgs. It backs up automatically every few hours or so, as far as I can see. The first backup, with transfer of all of the photo files, took a little over an hour, but the subsequent backups took a hot minute. It is solid, and my computer guy tells me it is a secure way to store my files, that they will not degrade, etc. The only downside I could see was that it got a bit warm during the initial transfer of data, so I set it on top of a screen to keep it cool.
