This 55 inch Samsung UN55U6900 hands down better picture, features, all around technology, weight, usage cost and price. I'm no pro with technology at all mind you, roughly 10 years ago I purchased my first flat screen 1080 p hd tv 46inch Sony for roughly 1,200 (still works as it was designed) I can only see and hope to get that much time out of this Samsung. Let's see if it holds up but well worth the cyber shop deal for it. I Hope to never contact Samsung support for a warranty claim within the first year!

This Sucks
I've had this t.v. for about 4 months and at first I thought it was a good purchase. I liked the smart apps and the 4k resolution but after those 4 months the t.v. is on a constant boot loop. It will turn on then back off continuously. I can't even use a product that's not even a year old. Worst thing I've spent my time and money on so far.

Great TV

Not quite sure why anyone would review this TV poorly. Bought this TV to replace my old bedroom TV. The picture looks great, colors are vibrant, motion is clear. I've had no issues navigating around though YouTube and Netflix using the smart features. Playing my xbox has been a nice experience too. For the price of this TV, you definitely get a great value for what you get.

Best bang for your buck

I wanna start off by saying I'm not an expert in this field just a regular Joe. I bought this Tv during Black Friday at best buy they price was $329...i got the price lowered due to the box being damage so $279. Let me say once I turned it on it blew me away the clarity and sound is top notch. Streaming YouTube videos and the other pre-installed apps were smooth and quick. The colors were rich and vibrant. The 120 htz motion rate made for silky smooth movements on screen. The sound adds another layer of depth to give you that true home theater feel. To think this is just right out The box i didn't have to adjust anything. The remote may take a lil getting use to but you can also control things from your phone with the Samsung app. All and all Samsung did a great job with this Tv def recommend picking this one up

Fantastic 4k TV with unique features

I purchased this TV to replace my Samsung plasma 50 inch TV because of lacking features. The plasma TV was over 12 years old and I was very happy with it but time takes its toll.

I was surprised at the features on the 2018 model I purchased. The color is really good and the pictures are Clear and realistic. The sound from the 20 watt amp is better than expected and the wifi is supburb.

It was very light in weight and easy to install but a manual like the old TV had would have been better than the electronic version for learning the features. It also works with Alexa for turning on and off, but not channel changing or volume but definitely a plus.

My model also does not support bluetooth which would have been a plus.

All and all I love this TV and would recommend almost any Samsung product I have purchased over the years for reliability and quality.

I did purchase a Samsung soundbar with wireless woofer and I really like that too.

You cannot go wrong with this model and any one of these TV's from series 6 to series 8.

Great image quality, underwhelming apps

I just bought this tv and am just a little disapointed. Half the reason I upgraded from an old LG was to get newer versions of apps, mainly hulu with live tv. Always believed Samsung was top shelf when it comes to features but this TV runs an older version of hulu without live, though it is brand new. Probably going to return it for a tv that does feature hulu live. Very satisfied with image clarity however and other apps.

Great TV for the price so far

I bought the TV to replace an older dual core model as waiting for the "TV to be prepared" was extremely annoying. This one comes up much faster and the picture is very nice.

One issue I have is that I have an older dish that has the primary out as HDMI but a secondary unit only puts out coax which is what I was trying to connect this TV to.. this TV absolutely will not recognize the coax input from the dish to it so I can't view any of my programs on it. I can't find anywhere in the specs or manual that said it wouldn't be able to. The only thing I can find is that ANY device must be plugged into an HDMI port with the exception of the coax antennae (which the dish is).

Also even choosing the exterior speakers, it would not recognize the ARC HDMI port and I was forced to use an Optical audio cable even though my HDMI is rated for it.

I also despise that every time you exit an app it pops up another application for you to rent movies/shows instead of you just being able to choose what you want to display.

Low Budget TV

I am not pleased with this tv purchase. I purchased this tv strictly for streaming and I am disappointed with the basic features and it only has wifi for 2.4G. How can Samsung release a 2018 tv with dinosaur features? They are really half stepping with there tv‘s.

Great starter 4K tv, but....

Have had several samsung products, including a tv from 2008 that still works perfectly. I have had this tv for 2 months and it is unwatchable. Picture will constantly flash, and at times show vertical colored lines. Waiting on service request

Useless WiFi makes this a really dumb TV

Every morning, the network or the router needs to be rebooted in order to get a connection. Now, the wireless card seems to be failing after about a month. Still can see menus but it's too slow to play any video. Don't get this junk. You'll be turned off Samsung forever.
