Looks Great- Apps Fine- going back

I've had it less than a month. It's beautiful. Wife loves it. We used closed captioning in our house. Sometimes the captions remain frozen between channels (while active captions are flowing). Turn off TV and back on frozen captions are on. Switch to an app or HDMI input they go away... back to TV (over the air) and frozen text remains. Talked to Samsung, has latest firmware - suggestions and reset didn't work.

bad picture; bad support

Used it less than 20 hours and the picture developed a dark area in the left side of the screen. Made numerous attempts to get the issue resolved however Samsung was not willing to give support. They recommended switching cables, resetting the firmware, etc. Would not recommend and due to lack of support will not likely give SAmsung any more of my hard earner money.

Looks aren't everything

The quality of the screen is what brought me to this product, it looked amazing compared to everything else on display in a comparable size. The issue is the programming. My TV cannot remember a MAC address. This means the network functions don't work unless the TV has its power reset each time. I've contacted support and a technician has replaced the motherboard, but the replacement has the same issue. I'm going back to support again, we'll see what happens.

Needs more immediate instructions

I recently bought a 50" Samsung 'smart' ultra-high definition TV ( model UN50MU6300FXZA). I found the lack of immediate, reasonably complete instructions very frustrating. Only when I downloaded the complete instruction manual from the Samsung website was I able to understand and adjust needed functions. For instance, the overall brightness of the picture was initially poor. Only when I learned how to use the menu to get to the picture type (e.g., 'standard', 'movie') was I able to get close to what I had experienced on past Samsung TV's. My initial attempts with the voice command of 'brightness' failed to allow much adjustment. As TV's get more and more complicated it will be harder and harder for an ordinary, non-technical user to figure things out without the detailed manual. (I finally resorted to printing out the entire 138 page detailed instruction manual to have as a handy nearby reference for future problems like the one I initially encountered.)

Everything I hoped it'd be

Absolutely stunning picture - bright, with really good contrast, color balance, and motion handling right out of the box. 4K videos from YouTube mesmerized me, 1080 antenna broadcasts are terrific, and it even does a respectable job handling low-resolution stuff. Much wider viewing angle and better sound than I expected, too. Interface is much more appealing and responsive than on Samsung TVs I've had in the past. I'm really picky about picture quality but don't have an unlimited budget, so when WalMart on Black Friday had by far the best price anywhere, I ordered this online. Store pickup was smooth, too. This set is NOT cutting-edge late 2017 technology - for example, the HDR capability is more of a pseudo-HDR, but there's precious little HDR content out there anyway, and not all of us want to sink 1-2 grand on a TV or risk buying a low-end brand. Very happy camper here!

Great Value!

I bought this TV about two weeks ago after a ton of research. I really wanted the new OLED but it is just to expensive! So, in my budget, this was my choice. LG also had terrible support reviews. I mounted this on the wall and so far, i'm very pleased. The only thing i'll add is that i also researched curved vs. flat and hands down, with curved you are paying for the gimmick it really doesn't give you anything for the extra $$

great value.

A superior buy. Great picture, easy setup. Hard to take my eyes off it.

Pleased with my TV

I've had this TV for about 5 months. I am pleased with it. I haven't actually seen anything displayed in 4K yet since I do not have a 4K Blu-Ray player. My internet is apparently not fast enough (even using a Ethernet cable with 10Mbps) to let me view 4K without buffering every few seconds. There doesn't seem to be that many APPs available in order to stream and using the voice remote to control the playback is unbearable. I wish there were a couple more buttons on the remote for Fwd/Rwd. I would like better access to the HDMI and other ports. A separate hum would be great. I will probably buy a HDMI switch to make access more convenient and have more than 3 HDMI ports.

Samsung Tv's

Haven't received my new 65inch samsung tv but just purchase, All my televisions are samsung and my older models are working just fine, however my newest model just gave up on me bought it in 2011 and one day it just didn't turn on. My older models work just fine, although the picture quality isn't what it is today. Cons: Samsung repair service sucks I live in sarasota and the only repair service team is in tampa. Called them 3 times and have yet to receive a call. Must say some of the 1-3 star reviews are comical! There complaints have to do with their electronic IQ and what they expect for $. One thing is for sure you get what you pay for. If your using this item for gaming and personal use, then you need to get your game on and spend a bit more for your comfort, further more, if you had immediate problems with your product take it back or call samsung, I am sure Samsung will correct the issue or grant you a refund. However that was never posted. Secondly if you didn't report the right away it's not samsungs problem it's yours. I will share my experience with my new 65inch samsung as soon as I get it! End result with Samsung: SATISFIED..

A HUGE LETDOWN

Connectivity is slower than advertised. The picture quality is great, but the remote falls short (a firestick remote is better than the OEM remote that comes with the TV. Aftermarket remotes aren't available for this model.
