bought this for gaming, and programs start about 30% faster with no stuttering during gameplay. The 1 TB is a must to start, but might add another SSD in the future..this is plenty of storage for most of my programs...Slim design and easy install. Setup in disk management on windows is a snap...highly recommended.

I use 970 EVO plus 1 Tb ssd for Windows Op. System -Put the 860 EVO 1 Tb. in for my DSD music files. Definite decrease in responce time, one song can be 1 Gb. HDD had up to 7.5ms time to .7ms time for 860 EVO. Probably should have went with more Tb. Very Pleased.

Purchased this as a replacement for the factory installed Seagate HDD 1 TB that burned out. Took about 30 minutes to make the switch and be up and running. It's faster than I anticipated and am very pleased with this purchase.

This thing is great! I used the Samsung software and cloned my old drive and then boom...like a whole new computer!! Startup takes seconds instead of 15 minutes like it used to! Should have done this along time ago.

Reliability is Important and the Samsung 860 EVOs are very reliable. I own several 850 EVOs and 860 EVOs. The larger the size, the longer they will last which is why I purchased the 2 TB version even though 500 GB or 1 TB would be good enough. I use a 1 TB and several 500 GB versions for use with Hyper-V Images and for video editing and encoding. I have never had any issues. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I was getting small glitches in my old HD. Little things. So downloaded a program from the HD manufacturer to see what was going on. We had some problems. So I did some research and found that SSD's had come along way. So I saw the specs and though. "Yea Right"! So I got one. The cloning went flawlessly. I installed it. It worked right away. Not one problem. The restart and shut down speeds were unreal. The little things went away and I also noticed the Accuracy was greatly improved. My defrag reports were flawless. So I'm sold on that I made a very good choice. I'm also getting one for my wifes newer HP next . Also love the Magician software. Tells you anything you might need to know in the future.

Wanted an SSD for my Toshiba laptop for more speed. I haven't been disappointed. I used the data transfer tool and it worked like a charm. Transferred the data and installed it in place of my old HDD. Booted up and everything worked. Very happy.

I just recently bought and installed this Samsung evo 860 1 TB in my PlayStation 4 pro after noticing that the original stock hard drive hgst 5k1000 began to show signs of failure. the original stock drive went from installing games at 45 minutes to the Samsung under 75 GB instant installs. This hard drive is a massive improvement for the ps4 pro along with the industry best warranty backing the ssd at 5 years or 600 tbw. their is no other ssd on the market that has the power of a 75 GB cache along with the warranty.

This is my second samsung evo 860 and not for the reason of failure. the original ssd is still ticking in my desktop computer since they got first released. The investment is worth ever penny.

This is my third SSD. At the time had a 500gb and 1TB. Performance was outstanding. Needed more independent storage for my underwater photos and videos. Installed another 1TB and moved easily. Samsung Magic gives me all the performance monitoring I need and trims as well.

Mac software not Available from Samsung . I try other but did not work 100%

I have to buy Acronis True Image 2019. .only Acronis True Image 2019 ( Acronis True Image 2018 do not have clone disk function)have clone disk function and clone disk with Mac & window 10(VM ware). this information for your future user or Samsung management add this product to work smooth with Mac-OS
