Used this product on a rock slider for my truck
It looked great and gives a grip. I have had this on another vehicles slider for 4 years and it still looks great. I prepped the metal with alcohol and then used primer before I sprayed the final coats.
I am terrible at spray painting but this worked great. I have two round metal green patio tables with mesh. I scraped off the rust with a brush and sprayed them with this paint. They look great. Again I suck at spray painting so this paint is very forgiving.
This product worked great, gave something old a finish with a look that was appealing. Very nice on old heat registers, things like that. Just make sure you have proper ventilation, the smell is strong.
I used the Rust-Oleum Stops Rust Black Hammered Spray Paint on my outdoor furniture when it began to show signs of rust. It was tedious to prep the chairs so the material didn't get painted, but the spraying process was quick and looks better than new. Hoping it will last a long time. My next project will be my wrought iron gate.
2. Yes, Rust-Oleum Stops Rust Hammered Spray Paint is suitable for use on wood surfaces! If using over bare wood, a primer is recommended to help with coverage. Check out Rust-Oleum Universal Bonding Primer!
2. Rust-Oleum Stops Rust Hammered is not formulated to adhere to a plastic surface. We recommend priming the surface first with Rust-Oleum Stops Rust Universal Bonding Primer to ensure adhesion to a plastic surface.
is the rust-oleum (copper) hammered a lacquer or an enamel. If I wanted to clear coat what type do I need?

1. Great question, Tom! Rust-Oleum Stops Rust Hammered Spray provides a durable, enamel coating. We recommend using Rust-Oleum Stops Rust Crystal Clear Spray, which gives a protective clear coating to provide excellent resistance to abrasion, chipping, and dulling.
