Applied 3 coats 5-7 minutes apart on my perfectly restored headlights (used 3M restoration kit) to seal and add UV protection. Shook the bottle as crazy as I could. The result was awful - not clear at all, very cloudy and uneven, very rough to touch and had visible surface cracks. Will not recommend to use on clear plastic.

Two cans from different stores, same problem

I needed some gray paint for a piece of plastic trim I had resurfaced. I found this color was a good match and it said it could be used on plastic. I followed the instructions on the can (shake for 1 minute) and was rewarded with perhaps 5 seconds of paint, then nothing. I tried a different nozzle from a working can of Rust-Oleum I had and still nothing. Thinking it was just this can, I bought a second can at a different Walmart. Even tested it prior to purchase and it sprayed OK. Got it home and another 5 seconds of spray and the same thing. I found the lot numbers (X62272) were the same on both cans. What appeared to be a time stamp (2056 and 2121) indicated they were stamped within 25 minutes of each other. I had also purchased a can of Rust-Oleum semi-gloss black with the first one and it worked fine. Based upon the evidence, I think this was a bad batch. I've used Rust-Oleum in the past, and have even painted two cars with it using a roller. I paid extra for a name brand and was very disappointed. Reading reviews on other sites for 2016, I see I'm not alone for this problem with Rust-Oleum paint. Rust-Oleum needs to up their quality control. I will return these, get my money back, and try another brand.
