About This Item

We aim to show you accurate product information. Manufacturers, suppliers and others provide what you see here, and we have not verified it.
Rust-Oleum Aircraft Remover, 1 Qt, is ideal for refinishing your plane. Coatings on airplanes adhere very strongly and are generally hard to strip. This Rust-Oleum aircraft paint remover goes to work right away, and after sitting for just 10 minutes, the paint becomes soft enough to scrape away. The chemical does not damage the aluminum frame beneath. Depending on the materials that you use, this product is also ideal for crafts or other trade projects. It's simple to apply and saves you a lot of time and effort. The professional-grade formula makes the stripper usable for commercial or industrial tasks.

Rust-Oleum Aircraft Remover, 1-Qt:

  • Ideal for projects
  • Easy to use
  • 1 Qt of aircraft paint stripper per bottle

Works Great

I used Rust-Oleum Aircraft Remover to strip a motorcycle gas tank down to bare metal before repainting. This stuff works amazing and surprisingly it didn't smell as bad as I thought it would. I was down to bare metal in about 15 minutes. The directions say to use a plastic scraper, I used a scraper for the heavy stuff and then did a second coat and final wipe with paper towels. Make sure you wear gloves since you can get a nasty chemical burn without them. Apply the product generously for the best results.

I had really bad crusty chunky psorisosis on my Junk and ball bag. I applied the Rustoleum Aircraft remover and let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes. Then I used a twisted stiff wire cup brush and all the crust came right off. It worked great!!!!

Works as advertised

Removed all the aircraft from my backyard gone.

weak airplane remover

I bought this product to strip the polyurethane finish off of an electric guitar body. The can says "works in 10 minutes" but I found it took 30 minutes to take effect. Furthermore, in 40 minutes the product dries and the polyurethane dries back into a hard, crusty mess that requires you to start the process all over again, so timing of the application and removal is crutial. Overall I would rate this product as mediocre, as it is strong enough to get the finish off eventually, but too weak to make the removal process convenient or easy. How strong of an "industrial" paint remover would be sold at Wal-Mart anyway???

didnt work good

used to remove paint off some motorcycle parts and did not work good at all ended up wasting money and took the parts to get sandblasted anyway

1. We do not recommend using Aircraft Remover on rubber surfaces. We would suggest using a regular paint thinner.

2. I have used this product to remove the paint/clear coat from dozens of wheels and I have never had them dismounted or even removed from the vehicle in several instances. I have experienced NO problems with the tires.
