    Excellent for spices!

I searched for quite a while to find a solution for all my spice bottles. I have a very skinny cabinet (door)- only 7 in wide, but the cabinet itself is much bigger (corner space) where our spices are kept. I bought this thinking I may have to return if it did not fit (it is 10 inch diameter). I had to "install" it inside the cabinet, but it was pretty easy to clip together and it fit and spun fine! I am SO happy to have this now-- it fit 34 of my spice bottles (could be more)!! This system is going to work out great! The people who said this is weak, it may be true for heavy things, but spices are lightweight so I think it is perfect for this use!

    Rubbermaid double turntable

I imagined the turntables to turn a little smoother and be a little stronger, but I am pleased, nonetheless. They have made my cupboard space so much more organized and in my case, they are space savers. I would advise that if you are going to buy them, measure your space between lower and upper shelves to make sure you have enough clearance to put items on the upper turntable. In my case, the cupboards are older and my shelves are spaced FAR apart so they worked fine for me. Tall spice bottles don't fit between the turntable so consider what you are planning on putting on your turntables too. Also, it would be nice if both "rounds" of the turntable had the lazy susan track, but they don't. I would like the option to use them stacked or separate (like they made them many, many years ago.) :D Wish I would have kept mine from 40 years ago. They were much stronger. STILL, all in all, these are very helpful and the price makes it affordable.

    Disappointed in Rubbermaid

I bought this product in black. Thinking Rubbermaid would be the better product, I spent the extra money rather than the cheaper brand on the shelf. To my surprise when I got home. This product wasn't worth two cents. It wouldn't stay together and the adjusters for height wouldn't hold. I had my husband glue the parts in place on the one I had opened and took the other one back to the store to get the cheap one.

    not even worth $10

flimsy plastic broke when putting it together. the rollers to make it rotate did not connect to the item, rather it just sat on them

This would work for spices, but not for cans

When I tried using this for cans, it fell apart as I was trying to spin it. It cannot hold the weight of cans on the top shelf. I think it could work for spices though. I'm going to be giving it away at work as I already have a lazy susan for my spices. I bought the Rubbermaid one because of how well my mom's held up from years ago, but I'll never buy one from them again. I'll stick with the wooden ones from now on.

    Rubbermaid Double Turntable

I have had one of these for my spices ever since Rubbermaid started making them. I think it was back in the 60's when harvest gold was popular. This thing has been a little dynamo, whirling and twirling for over 50 years nearest I can figure. The plastic bottom channel recently broke, but although it was a little bumpy the turntable continued to function. I do not expect the one I just purchased to have that kind of longevity. The 3 supports are flat and attach to the outside edge of the two round disks. Quite frankly, they are wobbly compared to the round ones stuck in the mounting holes located further in from the sides on the older model. I moved the spice bottles from my older one to the newer one it is holding the exact same load. Turning the upper tier of the newer one causes the whole thing to sway and it looks like the tiny plastic nubs that barely clip to the bottom edge of the lower portion will soon be busted if the product is turned in this manner. Turning it by the bottom tier works well. Only turn it by the bottom tier. That being said, since they don't make 'em like they used to, this one will have to do and I do recommend it.

    rubbermaid turntable

We use this turntable as an organizer for our spices. This is the second one we have bought. We had our first turntable for over 28 years. It fits well in our cabinet

Things ain't what they used to be

Dont expect a rugged, heavy duty, smooth turning turntable because this ain't it. Snaps together easily( be careful not to break). Holds many spice bottles(except tall ones). Value for money, disappointed in Rubbermaid.

    Rubbermaid Double Turntable

Perfect for spices but not for items heavier. Fits nicely in cupboard and holds a lot of spice bottles and cans.

    Rubbermaid turntable

Easy to assemble and works fine.
