I had a brand new name brand self propelled mower that did not do as well as this mower. I had tall grass due to the length of time of my other mower breaking down and this one arriving in the mail. I couldn't have asked for a better experience with what I thought was going to be a big task. The mower cut right through. Once started, I did not have to reprime it even though I stopped mowing several times for various reasons. Five stars rating in truth.
I was initially worried about how it would hold up with taller or wet grass but after reading some of the other reviews here, my mind was put at ease. Now after buying this mower, I too can rave about how great it is and it truly is great. It sure seems like my yard gets mowed a whole lot faster now. But of course, why wouldn't it... This isn't called the Trail Blazer for nothin'! Grab you one, you won't be disappointed, and start blazing some trails! Well done, Remington, well done.
My first new lawnmower I've ever bought. What a difference from the old used ones I've owned! Easy to assemble (just attach the handle), lightweight, cuts and mulches like a boss! The only thing that was kind of weird was putting oil in. It's in a rather awkward spot and a funnel is necessary. Other than that it makes cutting the grass fun!
Put it together effortlessly right out of the box. Put in the oil and gas and with three pulls on the rope it started right up. Mowed a thick overgrown lawn with no effort. Shut it down to check restart effort: one pull and the mower was running. Expensive solution to mowing a small yard.
This is by far the best economy mower out there ! Much better than any Briggs and Stratton engine mower. I used it all last summer, changed oil after breakin and it ran like a top. Put it up for the winter and went out just a short time ago, primed it and it cranked on the first pull. Gonna change oil for the up coming season along with fresh gas (1/2 gal). This mower sips gas, this is why I only use 1/2 to 3/4 gal for the season. Home depot doesn't sell this mower any longer for some reason, but Wal~mart picked it up. So if ya want a good economy mower, this is the one !
The mower was easy to put together, though the actual instructions made very little sense. She cranked the first time I pulled the cord (after adding oil and gasoline first!) and hasn't failed yet. I took off one star for a general feeling of cheapness to the frame but the engine seems solid and powerful. I would buy her again.
I think we were sold a lemon. It looks nice and my husband said it was very easy to put it together. He added oil and fresh gas and it wouldn't start. We let it sit for a while..nothing...overnight...still nothing. I purchased it because of all the good reviews but unfortunately we have to take it back to the store.
Bought this lawnmower about 6 months ago and used it once before winter set in. We live in AZ so the winters are not much. During winter I would start lawn mower to keep it running. Used the best gas. Again used it one time. Took it out this week to cut yard and would not start. Cleaned the carb and put new gas in and does not start. DO NOT BUY THIS MOWER!!!
