Tv has a great picture, setup was very easy, and ROKU was also easy to set up. Only negative is the remote, not well designed, and the Tv doesn't work easily with the satellite system i have (Dish), and, not sure, but might not work easily with cable systems also.

Refurb always a gamble, Walmart return policy good, item packed well and certified by TCL. Small blemish on bevel, but not visible in location, all good. Priced right at $306, new model TCL 625 retailing for $549, Costco has TCL 617 at $399 new.... very satisfied with purchase. If you plan to put the TV in a dark room, the TCL 6 Series best deal out there.
Absolute no brainer
I bought two. I did the research. This is the 2018 6 series TCL. It shook the flat screen world with a picture quality that rivaled everything else except Oled. That means it was beating 1 and 2 thousand dollar tv's from the biggest brands in independent tests. That was at a 600 dollar price new. These refurbs are half the price with all the PQ. Did I mention that the 2018 TCL 6 series beats the 2019 series 6? What's not to like?
Not Refurbished. Obviously Repackaged Returns.
The first "refurbished" TCL 55R615 TV I received from WalMart.com was damaged to the point of being non-functional. The screen was cracked (see first image). The included power cable was tied in a knot instead of coming banded in a cable tie. It was an obvious return and re-box with no testing for functionality before shipping. The second unit I ordered as a replacement had aesthetic frame damage, a crushed power button (see second image), and included an incorrect power cable. This seems to also have been a return that was re-boxed without testing or quality inspection. Both TV's came packaged identically; in plastic Air Cushions instead of the typical foam. However, it is clear most of the damage did not happened in transit. This being listed as a refurbished unit is misleading and should be advertised instead as "Scratch n Dent" to more accurately portray the item's potential condition. As a side note, the TCL 55R615 is a Best Buy exclusive version of the 55R617 (R617 sets come with a voice-enabled Roku remote--and cost a bit more--and the R615 sets do not) so that may have been a red flag.
TCL ROKU Refurbished TV Disappointment
i ordered this tv 3 days ago for an in store pickup. Walmart shipped the tv to the store quickly. But I was so disappointed to discover that the screen had received external pressure in the packaging process. It looked like it had a plastic lining on the screen with small air bubbles. I was so disappointed to find out that I could not watch the final 4 on my new Rock TCL TV. I expected the Refurbished TV to be "like new" and not like this.
