    Excellent Computer For The Price

This was a birthday gift for my husband. He is so happy because the computer has a lot of memory for all his audio (music) files and pictures. It works perfectly.

We had to send it back to the factory the day after we received it. The internet port was not working, now we are without our computer for 3 weeks or more. Not happy !

The Mouse is broken when arrived

I received the item today, when I opened the box noticed that the mouse is totally broken. `Just wondering should I return the mouse ? any customer service could handle this? My monitor hasn't received yet, so I can not test whether the computer works or not. But I will keep tracking on it.

What more could you ask for for $159?

I'm a PC Tech and installed one of these for a customer on a budget - finally replacing their XP machine. It works exceptionally well for what most people would use it for - mostly due to the 8GB RAM. Windows 10 was registered and up and running in 10 minutes. This machine is perfect for web surfing, office work, photo editing, even social media type video editing. The 1TB hard drive can handle an extremely large music library and photo library. You can play music and watch movies (streaming or DVD) without a hitch. If you don't need the latest and greatest, this will get almost anyone by. FYI - there is no HDMI port - you are limited to VGA and Display-Port. However, there are adapters to make everything friendly. It is limited to USB 2.0, but for most people that is no big deal. And you'll need your own monitor, keyboard and mouse. Just keep in mind that you are getting a used and refurbished PC for $159. Take the 4 year protection plan for $26. In 4 years, you'll need a new PC anyway.

    It gets the job done

as I get older I think this is about all I need. it gets the job done, it has large storage and Wi-Fi.. that's ok I guess, but Wi-Fi is never as good as a wired connection so I'd turn that off. nice feature to have I'd suppose. also the graphics card is the bare minimum so don't expect to game on this . it's a rehabbed office computer. it has windows 10 which I personally do like. it was updated and configured for my use quickly ! I'll probably never use a TB of storage, but that's more than anybody could want or need. I do have an external HDD that I use for back ups. overall for this price you really can't go wrong. I've passed the age of using a computer daily and creating web pages, photo editing and making DVD's so for basic mail, paying bills etc. I highly recommend this computer. there were a few scratches on it.. no big deal at all . has more than enough ports it's fast enough for daily use. get one ! for more I use my laptop and now my tablet for games etc. it's easier that way. I hardly use my PC anymore except for business.

I ordered two of these. I was surprised, fast delivery. Wireless antenna was also installed, which i don't believe was listed on the specs. The part that sticks out from the back of the desktop for this antenna was bent because it looks like the card that fits in the slot didn't line up with the space where it should be and it also may have gotten this way from packaging. Funny thing is, it does work even though I use wired internet. so it was a plus. Of the two, both with Windows 10 and plenty of hard drive space and 8 gb of memory, one was making a sound that didn't sound right, like a small grinding from the hard drive. I have worked on pcs' and this isn't normal. I contacted support and they are sending me another hard drive. So the one year warranty is working!!! I am awaiting deliver at this time. I have ordered from Walmart before on refurbished desktops and i have no other complaints. Also, I kept blaming my internet for how slow things were, but it seems now that i have more memory and better processor, it was my older model.

The picture is staged to look like a tower pc

My order was not shipped until the day it was scheduled to arrive so it arrived on the ninth day after I ordered it. The shipping was free so it was worth the wait. When I saw that it was a horizontal small form factor unit I was disappointed because I didn't think my secondary hard drive would fit into it. There is a rack below the DVD player to receive my secondary hard drive with all the necessary connections. That was up and running in about ten minutes. The DVD is only a player so I bought on that writes for less than $20. I installed that in about twenty minutes. Windows ten does not come with software to play DVDs so when you try to play one the windows store opens trying to sell that software. I went online and got the VLC player for free. My unit came with a 2 terabyte hard drive instead of the 1 terabyte they advertise. This computer looks good and functions well so far. I'm happy.

    Refurbished PC Works Great!

Desktop PC works great! If you are thinking about going the refurbished route, ensure you get one that specifies all the stuff you want... for example, make sure the description details specify that it comes with wireless network capabilities (wifi), Microsoft Office, a computer monitor, and any other devices or capabilities you want. Don't just assume it will come with these things, unless it states that it does. The PC I got was in great condition. I opened the PC to look at the internal components, and it was super clean on the inside (no dust... it was like new). It even looks like they replaced some of the parts to ensure it was new and up to date. I've been using this computer for a couple weeks now. Performance is great. I'm very pleased.

Do your homework when purchasing Refurbished!

First of all, They lost the 1st one I ordered. Then on the 2nd one they shipped, I had to contact UPS to find out where that one was. UPS found that it had a label created but not shipped yet. It says sold by but these computers are refurbished and shipped by a third party in NJ! They are not refurbished by HP. There is a big difference. I bought a HP refurbished pc for my daughter and it it is like lightning and came fully loaded with all kinds of stuff. This pc came with nothing but the operating system. This particular PC was originally mfg in 2009 with Windows 7 installed. I checked all of this out once I got the pc. All they do is upgrade it to Windows 10, put more Ram in it, larger HD and test it I guess. I thought this pc was going to be super fast, Not so. My 9 yo pc with Vista is almost as fast. Mine makes a clunking noise right out of the box. From now on, When I buy refurbished, I will make sure it is manufacture refurbished. Mine is going back! Plus they display it in the photos like it's a tower pc. It is not a tower, It's the old style flat ones. I recommend you look before you leap on this one.

    99% GREAT

First of all , the 4 stars are for the Keyboard they sent me. The first one was so bad that some of the keys were not on and broken. These people BTG are very happy to please the customer, they immediately sent out a new mouse and keyboard. When it arrived I hooked it up and the cap and number light did not work. Called again and they are sending me a new one again. They were going to give me a credit ,but they wanted to allow be $10.00. Guess that they are really cheap. Anyways the good news is, if you have a spare , which 99% of people do have a spare mouse and keyboard, Jump on this computer , like now. Plugged it in in 5 minutes and WINDOWS 10 was on my screen. From the time I ordered this computer it took 2 days for it to arrive. Awesome, as long as youdon't care about the keyboard and mouse, VERY CHEAP. The computer case has a couple dings in it but components were AAAA+.You won't be sorry.
