Smaller than what I'd expected
I expected something comparable to the Sugar n Cream yarns... This yarn is smaller, both in quantity and in the size/weight of the yarn itself. I made it work by using a bigger hook...

are you kidding?
Was a whole lot smaller than I expected for the price I paid. I will never buy yarn again on line! Will only buy yarn I can hold in my hand so I do not pay so much for so very little. I do not think it was even big enough to make a single pot holder!!

Great for washcloths/dishcloths

I knitted a circular dishcloth for my daughter and gave a skein in a swap..I know the recipient will be pleased with the results..

I was happy with the final outcome of my project. I just have two comments. This brand is thinner than peaches or sugar and cream brands. The 56 g ball has about the same yardage as their 70 g balls. It was disappointing that each of the four balls I purchased had a join in them. Given the small size of the balls it would seem like that could be avoided on most of the balls.

Creme de la Creme Cotton Yarn

I was very impressed with how quickly I received my yarn. Came a lot faster than I expected. My only grippe, which isn't really Walmarts fault is the advertised weight of the yarn. Red Heart says this yarn is "worsted" compared to all my other worsted cotton yarns, this is MUCH thinner. More like a DK weight. I held two strands together to complete my project which gave the weight I was seeking. Otherwise, very please with the purchasing process through Walmart. Very easy and received very quickly even after I selected regular ground shipping.

It is soft yarn but it comes in small2.5oz package

The cotton yarn is soft, but its pricey for the amount of yarn you get.Not like the picture on the site of a regular size of yarn, these are small bon bon size pkg.

1. This is a thin yarn, more like a string. you only get 2.5 ox per skein. I used it to make a purse. It is eco friendly
by lorakdo
2. This yarn is pretty thin. I ordered a wood violet color. The color is real pretty and the yarn reached pretty fast . But it is a small ball of yarn. The weight is 2.5 oz (70.9 g). It is worsted weight and pretty good. But just dont combine it with the peaches and creme kind of yarn. Because those yarns are worsted weight too but a bit more fluffier. Not sure if its good for blanket.

3. The skein has only two yards. I love the colors. I am using it to make baby washcloths.
by Cyn5333
4. This would be a nice yarn for a blanket. It is soft and not too heavy. These are 2 oz balls and roughly 120 yards. That yardage is a guess based on my last project I have not actually measured it. How much you will need will depend on your guage.
by SDMathMom
5. This yarn it worsted weight but a little thinner that some, almost DK. The label says that it is a 2.5 oz ball.
by cornfedlass
6. It is a small skein. I can get two wash rags out of the skein. I think the variegated are 2.5 ounces. I wouldn't use this yarn to make a baby blanket but that is just my opinion.
by Crafter247
7. IT is just two ounces each. Worsted weight.
by Maxslady
8. If you have a pattern. It will tell you the weight of the yarn. If the pattern calls for a weight 4 you can use red heart acrylic yarn. or any weight category 4. Lion Brand has a 3 oz. roll.
by stitches408
9. I don't think it would be good for a baby blanket. Skeins are tiny, probably 2.5oz, and not very soft. Also not really easy to work with.
by LoveThatStamos13
10. This yarn is 100% cotton like Sugar and Cream or Peaches and Cream. Used mostly for Kitchen items. It is a size 4 yarn and solid colors are 2.5 oz., multi colors are 2 oz. After washing items made with this cotton you will need to reshape whatever you have made. Probably not a good idea for a baby blanket that will see a lot of washing.
by MABJJATMKL
11. On each label there is information and a web site..I would thing Cotton would be a good choice for a baby blanket for use in the Spring/Summer/Fall and it would be comfortable for baby..

1. Yarn is sold by weight, not yardage. This skein weighs 2.5 ounces
