Awesome T.V.

Just love this t.v. super nice picture and sound. it has a quick set feature which is cool so it was not a hassle to just sit back and watch.
this is with the T.V. stand I also got from walmart

Totally exceptional duo package!

I have always liked RCA products, and this TV/DVD proved to enforce this comment! It was very fast and easy to set up, and the picture and sound features far exceed my expectations! For the price this was an exceptional value!

Good for bedrooms

Easy setup although screws to attach the base to the unit were tricky to get lined up and started. A magnetized phillips screwdriver is a big help. Picture is nice, unit has a built-in DVD player (I haven't tried this yet) and sound is typical for this size unit. One disappointment was the headphone connection: with my pillow speaker plugged in and the volume set to max, pillow speaker sound was close to inaudible. The unit is still a keeper.
The box it comes in - sturdy!

For Price - Can't be beaten!

People are either really lazy - as it applies to audio research - or well, never mind..... Only someone accustomed to a 4k/super hi-def TV is going to under-value the picture quality of this TV; its awesome! People need to understand that TV's just below, at, or SLIGHTLY above this class aren't designed to have "killer sound", you've got to add SOME sort of enhanced audio to make the package really rock. When I bought my 40", Sony's surround was on sale for CHEAP! So for the proce of a 46" I got killer 40" picture with kick-booty surround. For my 32" RCA combo, I simply plug my relatively inexpensive powered, 20 watt Altec Lansing computer sound system - two satellite speaks and a sub-woof - into the RCA headphone jack, and pow, plenty of pounding audio; decent headphones - coupled to a 1/8" pin-jack extension cord - work great too. People are weird. WalMart's pricing for this unit, the 40" inch and 24" units cannot be beaten for my money, and I've shopped EXTENSIVELY!

RCA 32" HDTV/DVD combo

The DVD player on my former TV had stopped working and I needed a new TV/DVD combo, figuring the cost of repairing the DVD would probably be as much as a new TV. I have a small living room and needed a 32" screen. The RCA kept popping up, and since I didn't recognize the other brands that had the combo, I went with this one. The TV is extremely light and very easy to set up. I was even able to set up my Wii with a minimum of trouble, and I'm definitely not mechanically minded in any way. I get all my Direct TV channels, and the DVD player works well. The remote is very easy to figure out. I'd say that the only downside to the TV is that the picture quality and sound quality isn't quite as good as on my old TV, even after trying to adjust both through the remote. But, I mainly bought it for the DVD player, as there aren't that many combo TV's out there anymore, especially in the 32"and so far I'm quite happy with the purchase. Also, the delivery came two days ahead of schedule, which was a nice surprise!

Good TV for the price.

I bought the RCA 32" 1080p 60Hz HDTV/DVD Combo for my living room. It replaced an LG of the same size. The picture and sound are not as good as the LG, but then the price wasn't as high. My son needed a TV to play games on so I decided to give him my LG and use the RCA in the living room because it has a DVD player, which is a nice feature especially for the price. I have had no problems with this TV, and after a little manual adjustments to the picture it looks great. The sound is average for a TV in this price range. My only complaint is that the manual on/off and other buttons are on the right side, making them hard to reach. However, it does keep the pesky finger print on the front of the screen from happening, which is a plus. And sense no one really uses the manual buttons, it's not really a problem. The DVD player is also located on the right side of the TV, and it does not play Blu-Ray. This is not a problem for me, but may be for others. The DVD player works great! I would recommend this TV for anyone looking for a reasonably priced TV/DVD combo.

LOVED this flat screen TV...But...

I loved this TV! Loved the way the remote control had the DVD controls on the side-and the remote has a unique shape so that you can set it on its side in order to access the DVD buttons. The TV was top notch...however, when I went to do the auto-scan process, it only scanned the "analog" channels (15 channels--which would be the "local" channels) It did not scan any of the probably 40-50 digital channels that I get thru Mediacom cable. I tried re-scanning, but it did the same thing. I called RCA service and was told, "Yeah, some RCA TV's do that--it's a flaw with the TV" So I returned the TV to Walmart. I loved the TV so much, I thought I'd order another one from Walmart.com...but same thing happened. I have an old digital RCA TV that I had no problems scanning all my channels. OH, and also, on the new ones, I couldn't even manually enter the digital cable channels. Funny, how since analog signals are no longer recognized and everything has gone to all digital TV signals...you buy a brand new TV that doesn't recognize digital signals. God, I miss the olden days!

no clock?

I bought this TV online, and assumed that any tv mfr would consider the end-user, but that is not the case with this TV. The on-screen tv-guide lacks detail that a user would expect for viewing simplicity. But the biggest disappointment of basic features is the lack of a clock to view the time, even when scrolling through the TV guide menu. Also, the remote control lacks an easy to use "sleep time", so a user has to navigate through 4-5 steps of the menu to perform a very basic function. Additionally, the tv did not come with a comprehensive users guide, or even an internet link, where I could find basic functions. Apparently there is no way to add channels to the programming, after using the automatic channel search feature. Example: I could not add or receive the local PBS stations that I thoroughly enjoy watching. It is no wonder that the seller does not stock this tv in the store...I took a chance and bought this one on-line without checking out the (lack) of features.

Well Thought Out

Wasn't sure what to expect. Very nice unit. Sleek, slim, nice picture quality, remote buttons nicely organized and easy to navigate. DVD very easy to operate/navigate. Love this feature, as it eliminates one more accessory to plug in. Nice that it has 2 HDMI inputs, plus 1 USB. Sound quality very adequate. You can always attach more powerful speakers. Easy setup process that walks you through when first powering up. Was delivered sooner than expected, nice surprise. But left at front steps, so make sure someone is home. Another minor point: when installing the base, it would be nice if the screws were a light color, white or yellow, not black. It's hard to see what you're doing when trying to install black screws into a black base. Had to use a flashlight. Other than that, very happy with the product.

WOW!! What a picture!

This came to us in a remarkably pristine box but it was a day late. The picture has to be seen. The colors are a knock out and it is crystal clear. WE are on antennae, not cable. About the only thing I can say bad about it is the TV does not state what program you are watching, only the channel number is displayed. There is no channel info button on the remote to tell you so you get to wait for the endless commercials sometimes to know what's on that station. Sound is adjustable in regards to bass, treble, balance. It has auto time so you don't have to set the clock. Some TVs lack any sound volume, this one has great sound volume even in our entertainment center. Haven't tried the DVD player yet and probably won't. We bought the TV due to the specs and price, it was a bargain, considering. This has been a real good deal for us. If a 32" TV is what you need, you need to consider this one closely. We're happy!
