we decided to ditch cable service on all our tv's except one and i saw these antenna's in walmart and decided to give it a try. not expecting anything great because of the price but i was wrong! the pictures are so crystal clear and great quality! we get 18 channels but from talking to several other people in this area that use an antenna for tv service that is a very good number. depending on the area some get much less and others get a few more but we are very happy with the service from these! i went back and bought a second one!

I was really surprised, this thing feels really cheap, looks like it too, but man did it work for me. I've been paying Comcast over $200 a month for as long as I can remember, I've got their second tier and internet, I've also got HD and DVR, but I've only reno'd my contract like maybe twice, but I've been paying that price because I've got things on my DVR I hadn't watched yet, I keep telling myself I'll get around to it but I never do, and I'm afraid they'll delete it for whatever reason and so I just haven't said anything. Well, they sent me a wireless box almost a year ago and I don't do wireless so I never hooked it up, it's still in the box. Than slowly but surely my services started to go away, first my "On Demand" went away, a couple of the sports channels I used to watch went away, and finally my HD channels disappeared, and the entire time I kept paying the $220. So because of this virus I stopped paying a couple months ago, wanted to, felt the obligation to, but saw my bill had gone up to $250, and had none of the channels I had before. So I said, nah, I'm not going to pay for something I don't get, and haven't been getting for the longest time, and finally two nights ago they took away my DVR, so that being the last straw I started looking for antennas. I did a lot of time researching them, looking at reviews, checking out prices, and saw a couple more expensive ones that I really liked, only like 50 bucks, and another one for almost $20, but I saw this one for, get this $8.88. At first I didn't want to because you get what you pay for, but heck, I'd rather start with the cheap stuff then buy the expensive one only to find out the expensive ones aren't really that good after all. Besides, the two I wanted was sold out on Amazon. So I found this on the Wal-Mart website and figured what the heck. It was really quick and easy to order, I paid for it online, set it to be picked up, got an email saying it was ready, and went to go get it. Like I said, this thing is cheap, like really cheap, but it was easy to hook up, it should be, I've seen better quality at the flea market, but I hooked it up, started to scan, and got, get this, NINETY TWO CHANNELS, (This is in central San Jose, in a upstairs 1 bedroom apartment, on a 55 inch LG HDTV from 2011) Sure, a lot of them I might not use, I'm going to miss my my sports channels and my DVR the most, but I've got all my local channels, and then some, and that's really the only channels I watch, you know, NCIS, NCIS New Orleans, FBI, Prodigal Son, Evil, Superstore, Young Sheldon, just your basics. It's really nice to be able to pause and rewind live shows but I guess I just have to get used to not having it anymore because my cable box is going back to Comcast tomorrow. This has got to the best thing I have done, it cost me only $8.88, ONCE, and I get all my channels that I watch, man, I should have done this years ago, I am really stoked. And so that's just my two cents.
Worked better that I expected!
Actually surprised this worked! We picked up about 5 channels on our digital TV that isn't connected to anything else. Some channels came in crystal clear!
Great buy, works well.
Great little antenna for the price. Use it in my living room by the window on a book shelf, and receive 20 channels.
Got this to pick up a couple local channels it does its job and more got 29 channels and it picked up more channels from farther than it said for sure
Very great size. Pick up great.
Excellent reception but poor build quality
The air reception of this antenna is much better than its expensive model. I got all the free channels in good picture quality. But one thing that it lacks is the poor build. My 2 year old son easily broke one of its mast, but the reception is still good with only 1 extended mast.
18 Local Channels including FOX News & ABC
Not sure because I stay in the ground floor I am getting grains in the picture quality very often, wire is too short hence I cannot keep it in the patio or at a height in the room. I would say it is a very basic one for your channel needs.
bought one before and antenna broke off. Needed quickly and cheaply for kitchen tv so I bought 2nd one--lets see how long that lasts.
