My 10 yr old was wanting the E100 but looking at the reviews and the price I jst couldn't see spending even the 100$ for it , but I got to looking at reviews for all of the scooters and chose the E300 for a little more money. SHE LOVES IT!, I'm going to buy an extra battery to switch out bcus they last about 1hr, she is about 90 Ibs so that prbly helps the battery life but the scooter is good up to 200Ibs and very well made. You WILL NOT regret buying this scooter.

Children will get around with power and style on the cool Razor E300, Multiple colors. This electric scooter features everything that parents and teens love with new, sleek styling. Race down the street with a top speed of 15 mph. A single charge gives up to 40 minutes of continuous use on large pneumatic tires. The two 10” pneumatic (air-filled) tires allow for better off-road performance compared to other electric scooters without air-filled tires. Walmart Stores are not the same as Walmart.com
Unfortunately, when the Razor e300 arrived on December 6th, I did not open the box to inspect the scooter. Instead, the box was not opened until Christmas morning and the response from my grandson was extremely disappointing. The Razor e300 electric scooter was a returned scooter. It was missing a part, scratched and we felt, had been used. Further disappointment came when I could not reorder a new one, because this particular scooter was no longer available online or in any local Walmart store. Yes, I had no trouble getting my money back, but to pay twice as much for this early ordered item after Christmas due to Walmart.com "Product no longer available" situation was disheartening. I take responsibility for not checking the merchandise upon arrival, but I feel Walmart.com should never have let this item leave their warehouse. I hesitate to place another order though this online store. Sincerely, Loss of confidence in Walmart.com.

Great for my 10 year old son

My son loves this. I was worried he wouldn't be old enough for it since age recommendation was 13+, but It was perfect for him. The E200 or e225 would've been too small and not fast enough for him. This is his first motorized scooter. I think the age recommendations are a little high for these, because I got my 8 year old the e150 and we have to return it for the e200.

Razor E300 Electric Scooter

My nephews loved them! Their Dad put them together(I guess just one step) and he said it was a snap! They are getting a lot of use from them and think it's the best gift ever. What's even better is they have different colors so each knows which is his. The ages of my nephews are 8 and 11. I'm so glad I got them!

Great purchase

My son is only 10 but because he weighs over 100lbs we decided to go with this one although it was recommended for 13 teen yrs +. It is fairly easy for him to ride and the kickstand is a definite plus. I Recommend buying a helmet though because it's pretty fast ( up to 15 miles per hr ).

So far so good

Set up was easy Bought as a gift for my 7 year old. Battery life is really good if you follow charging directions and always plug it in after use. This is a fast scooter for kids but will move a 200lb adult as well too. Overall he is happy and that makes me happy

Zippy little ride

My 10 year old thinks hes on a jet. Love this. We had bought a lesser product and it absolutely sucked! It was a miserable scooter thing that needed pushing to start. Soon as we got this things started looking up. His friends think it's the coolest. He blasts off and zips around while I walk the dog. We are very happy.

Great Buy

I purchased this for my 10 year old for his birthday. Was a little cautious at first because it was recommened for 12 and up but turned out to be perfect. Anything smaller would have been to little in a few months. Also, the price at walmart was around $40 cheaper than any where else. Have had bad experience with their shipping but this time it was three days early and in great shape.

Kids loved it~

I bought a blue and pink one for niece and nephew. I had previously bought the E150 but those were way too small for a 10-13yo. If you have kids that are tall for their age then get this model. It's built very well, and kids had a great time riding until the batteries died. Cons: Ride time is less than an hour. The kids weigh less than 150lb, expected a longer ride time duration. Also, the recharge time is 12 hours. So while the kids had fun for less than an hour, they didn't like waiting to recharge. I plan on upgrading to LIPO batteries in the future, which will give them a longer ride time, and recharge time is less than 30min. Wish they came with LIPO batteries but what can you do... If you live anywhere near a hill, these will slow down. They struggle and will wear the battery down faster. You also can't leave these out in a yard shed over the winter. If the batteries freeze they are dead. Will have to keep them in garage. It's a well built fun toy when it's charged. Kids will definitely enjoy it, just be aware of the cons before purchase.

Mixed thoughts

I am giving this 3 stars yet would recommend to a friend... probably just to confuse a would-be purchaser. I bought 3 of these for my kids. Two worked great. I purposely purchased from walmart in case I needed to return if there was a problem. And I purposely chose this brand because reviewers said that Razor had great customer service. One scooter did not work properly.. the handlebar would not stay tight. Razor said they would send me a new piece then said they wouldn't and that I should take in for service.. which I did (and it is heavy to get in and out of car). It was repaired and loosened up again within two rides. I called Razor and asked for a new one. Since it was after Christmas, the item was completely sold out. I searched stores and web sites for weeks... This was the child's big present and he wanted to ride it. Razor would not help me locate a replacement. They wasted a lot of my time (as happens with the "over seas" customer service that so many companies have started using, repeating the question and answering questions that I did not have). I had to purchase a different style (no seat) and again put the heavy broken one in and out of the car to return to Walmart. By the way, the second one even cost more. The scooters are nice and fun and built well, in general. They do go fast if there is a long street and it has time to pick up speed. We have a short cul-de-sac which is perfect because all of my kids are under the recommended age (which was a big, long decision for me). And it really is safer without the seat. I watch them to make sure they are ok, but really they are. They are all tall so they weigh a decent amount. I would not put a 40 pound kid on one, but 75-100 is good enough so it does not go out of control fast. (I am adding this part in my review because I looked everywhere for reviews on speed and age and couldn't find much. I always follow the recommended age. In this case, I think that getting the version for younger kids would be outgrown fairly quickly). In summary, generally this is a good purchase and you will definitely get the Christmas Morning WOW from kids. In making your decision, just do not put too much weight on the "great Razor customer service".

2. No. Simply flip on the switch, jump on and engage the motor by turning the handle. So easy.
by LuvSunshine
3. No. it is electric....There's a little red toggle switch which you turn on and from there you turn the throttle on the right handle to go. It helps to give it a little push before throttling to conserve battery life.
by charles408
4. No. You just turn the handle and go.

1. They have one speed. You vary your speed by turning the throttle on and off. It's a little "jerky". But still fun and probably too fast for some kids.
by syates1947
2. Jacky, This scooter has a typical hand throttle to control the speed. It does have variable speed.
by 3CCW
3. This scooter does have a variable speed throttle.
by PALMBOB
4. There is a twist handlebar that controls the speed.
by mamapav
5. You can go as slow as you want, but it does take off quickly - no push off needed. 15mph is the max. The handle controls the speed & brake.
by basicreview123
6. No variable

1. We go two miles everyday with no problems at all. It takes about 15 minutes. Product guide says it will go 40 minutes on one charge.....
by jellybeanhkf
2. Maybe 4-5 miles total on level surface w new batteries and a lightweight rider ...
by eVoltaire
3. On a single charge about 45 minutes of use. I would think it would last approx 5 to 10 miles. Maybe futher
by PALMBOB
4. 6 to 8
by danbeks
5. It's weight and terrain dependent. However, at the mfg's rated speed of 15 mph, with the mfg's claimed battery life of 45 min, you could go 11.25 miles. You can get the best battery life by scooting with your leg first and then applying the motor (i.e., not making the motor accelerate from a dead stop).
by Lawmaven
6. it will run 40 minutes per charge and thats it that about almost 10 miles need for about 5 mile in one way then same as back home i did test that before almost 3 years ago
